Next thing I'm doing is getting an ASP Pulley and getting my valve cover powdercoated black.

What exactly gets accomplished if you take the fan off??
Does it just get rid of the semi-like noise?Do you have to do anything to compensate the heat?

I took the fan off to see what happens, it feels the same, no noticeable gains, or losses. It's been off since July, and no problems. I'm just too lazy to put it back on, cause it's a bitch to do!
I have nothing to compensate for the heat, except the A/C condensor fan that turns on when it gets hotter than usual, or when I turn the A/C on.

i dont think that is too good for your car not running a fan
the moter need to be cooled at a certin temp.
now if you take off the ac belt than you will feal a HP gain

Correct me if im wrong but that fan is on the crank shaft and spins as your rpm's increase?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> Did removing it get rid of that horrid semi truck sound it makes???

Just remove your power steering belt, leave your AC there. Also, removing the fan belt SHOULD get rid of the sound, but do you really think it's worth it? Why not just get electric ones?

I've driven a car with and without AC and it makes only a slight difference. No power steering belt makes a much bigger difference, anyone will tell you that. And it's not that hard at all. And I'm a girl. I learned how to drive on a car w/o power steering, learned how to park with it too. So, if I could do it, why would you not be ble to.

Nice!!!! How much did you pay all together? What do you have under your hood besides that Injen cold air intake!

i c no need to get rid of the power steering, whatever time it might shave off won't replace the convenience i like about it. n i test drove a 95 w/out a/c n my 96 has a/c, n i didn't notice ne differences at all, if nething i'm pretty sure my 96 was pickin' up a lot better.

I think it's a personal choice, really. I don't think I'll ever take mine off, I also like the convenience of power steering.

Thanks for the feedback. I know it's a little dirty, but I'm too lazy to clean it. Check out my signature for my list of mods.
I got the wires for under $100 at Alamomotorsports.com.
Once I get my audio done, I'll look into the CAE.
And I don't recommend taking the fan or any belts off, even if it shows power gains. The crank fan has a clutch, so it doesn't spin as fast as the crank does.
