Why does my bumper sag?

I bought this car a couple of months ago, and now she's my project.

I have pretty bad bumper sag, and it bothers me.

I wanna fix it right now since I have the car under a knife and I'm waiting for parts, so I've got free time.

This car is a 1990, so it was originally a pignose bumper that was swapped by the previous owner (hence the color mismatch).

Can anyone tell me what's causing this?

Any help would be much appreciated, otherwise I'll just try to make my own support brackets.

Could of been in an accident even a small one can cause it to move. Make sure every bolt is in and no zip ties. And you got pig nose fenders on a chuki bumper are my thoughts

They have different fenders?????

The pig nose has no holes but chuki does for the bumper extensions but other than that there the same. Make sure all the bolts from the fender to the bumper are tight pull the bumper towards the fenders when titening so u don break ur fenders haha

Ok, but are there supposed to be any supports?

My bumper is just bolted on at the top 4 bolts to the frame, and then just to the fenders.

Am I missing any pieces?

P.S. It has a large FMIC

U can use the stock bumper support and cut it but most make a bash bar or don't run one

Yep, don't have the bumper support.

Ya with a front mount the support has to be cut out or make a support

Ok, quick question. How does the support work? Does the bumper just rest on it, or does it bolt on to it?

I feel like I have 3 options here.

1. Buy OEM bumper support and cut it
2. Buy a bash bar
3. Try to make one myself

Ya it slides on it but don't think it bolts on but don't quote me on that cutting it will give y the best fitment bash bar is good for if u drift and your mounting points are messed up but the oem I e is the best if you can hope that helps

30 bucks and its yours. its unmolested as as well.

Firstly, you need the reinforcement bar (or bumper support) as you call it. $30 from the member above seems reasonable as long as it hasn't been cut.

If you wish to retain your front mount intercooler you will likely need to cut a section out of the reinforcement bar.

You will also need the large bolts which bolt the reo to the chassis.

Make sure that for where the front bar bolts onto the front guards you don't just have individual bolts; I'm not sure of the proper name for it but basically there is a strip which has studs in it, then you put that inside the guard to attach the front bar and tighten up the nuts on the front bar side. Hard to explain but if you don't have this your front bar won't be perfectly attached to the guards.

Lastly, because you have cut the front bar for the front mount intercooler, the bottom will always sag because you will be missing the section of plastic that bolts to the radiator support under the car and provides further rigidity.

I already got the bumper support from that guy (cool dude).

Do you know what size bolts I need to mount the support?

Also, when you mention guards, what are you reffering to?

And lastly, would it be possible to fabricate my own support at the bottom to help support it from the radiator?
