Ok everyone. Its time to buy a s13. There are about 2 240sx's in Colorado on any given month, and 99% of those are Hatchbacks. This is where you guys come in.

I need to find the following car with the following options.

91-92 Nissan 240SX Coupe
5-Speed
ABS
LSD
HICAS
Power Everything
Milage should be moderate, nothing over 110k.
Price range is 4kish or below.

Silver, Blue, or Black. All colors will be considered, but no red, white, gold, or green. <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I will be buying the car sometime in December, but if I found the car I wanted I could get it now. I will fly to get the car and drive it back, but if I do this I would like for someone to actually check the car out for me. Hey mark, go to www.denverpost.com and check out the classifides it will pull up listings for the whole country, went there the other day and found like 10 coupes....good luck

I you want a fastback there is one right by where I work off Clinton &amp; Dry Creek. Its ad Auto but its in real nice condition and its dark peral red. its got 100k miles though, not to bad IMHO for a KA. I have the # if you want it.

What is HICAS?

HICAS Aka High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension, a fancy way to say 4 wheel steering.

Now that I think of it HICAS will suck for drifting. O well, I can disable it if I need to.

Only way you're getting HICAS on an S13 coupe is to buy a Canadian car. &nbsp;(which I recommened.. hehe)
ya get DTRL, which surprises all the chevy guys that assume GM came out with the whole thing in 95... and uhh. . you get non power seatbelts (JDM hehe) and easy install of the doluck rear x-bar!
Also uhh. . no pushing the clutch to start it. . Canadian models don't have that switch...

Anyway... I think the Canadian members would best help ya here.... &nbsp;I found my S13 HERE somehow. . musta belonged to a student..

I use a JWT ECU. I was going to get a Haltech stand alone, guess I will have to wait for the SR20DET to do that.

Hey Mark, I know there was a S13 coupe here in Socal up for sale around $7500 with body kit and SR20. I would say look for one with ABS don't worry about the Hicas. As far as the LSD goes. It was called a tow package option here in California .
Actually an interesting point I noticed when I was on PDM racings site was Don had disabled the ABS in his car . I am not sure why.
Oh well I know for drifting and such ABS is not that big of a deal.
Also if you are really good at heal toeing then you don't need ABS.Most race cars don't have it . We got along for years without it back in the 510 240z days.

ur money goes alot further here too.

ive seen fully loaded s13 coupes for under 6g's canadian quite frequently, never used to though

What's the fun in buying a car that someone has already taken all the fun out of building by putting everything they could find on it? &nbsp;haha

Mark - any specific reason you are looking for HICAS? &nbsp;I know that it's kind of a cool option but it's also pretty rare and I don't think it's all that worth it when you want to drift, and #### is it expensive when you have to fix it. &nbsp;ABS... sucks! &nbsp;For the money you are going to spend buying a HICAS car with ABS just for the LSD you can buy a near base model or SE coupe probably pretty close to your city, drop in an aftermarket LSD and not have to worry about sucky brakes or the extra weight that the HICAS system adds to the car.

An aftermarket LSD you will be happier with as it is (except for that break-in that I know sucks very badly.. hehe). &nbsp;

Here is what you want, SE or LE style 89 or 90 coupe with hella high miles, you can get one for probably $2k with a nice body, you rip all that crap out of there, put in an $800 aftermarket LSD, drop in an SR20DET, replace the crap suspension and you are off in running in funville.. hehe.

But that's just my opinion, you know what they say about those... opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and most of them stink &nbsp;<img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

All the hicas is going to do is weigh the car down.... A LOT! Everyone I know w/ 300z's buys the removal kit from stillen. on a z hicas weighs something like 250lbs!!!! And it makes drifting harder.

I would just like to point out that not everyone on this board is setting up there cars to drift, some people like to actually have a car that corners well and does'nt have the rear slide out from under em' on every turn http://forums.off-topic.net/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif &nbsp;Anyway HICAS blows it's only purpose it to make the average driver &quot;feel&quot; more comfortable during cornering, once you get really good at handling it actually hurts more then it helps, not to mention the added wieght.

PS West I checked the online autotrader for Denver, your right not a single 240SX, WTF you guys drive out there, even the canadians have more 240's for sale.

aren't 89-90 harder to swap an sr into when compared to the 91-93?
don't remember why though.

Actually no they are easier, we just got done doing an SR implant into a '91 and it was WAY more difficult than it was to do into my partners 89, it could have possibly just been the car because we ran into a bunch of stupid problems but I really think the 89-90 are easier to swap into, the only thing that the 89's don't have is the correct power steering stuff so you have to fab some stuff and get the DOHC power steering tank, that's about it though.
