Is there any difference between an 91 240 transmission and a 96? becouse it appears that they run at differnt rpms at differnt speeds. 91 240s also run up to 120 mph with ease, were as my 96 kat has difficulties making it that fast.
any imput would be apreciated. thanks.

I was told that theres a difference in the trannies since 96 is OBD-II and 91 is OBD-I. More plugs in the OBD-II iirc.

they rev completly different, they also get differnt gas millage out of the same engine. The only thing I can figure is that the tranies are different.

I found the specs in the MT (Manual Transmission) part at the end of the section with all the other specs. I don't see how a few more sensors could make the engine rev different though.
Are you saying it can't get to 120 or it just takes longer to get there?
