This is a very interesting build.
How much power does something like this put down?
I got a buddy i am getting into the car world, and would be good to get him in a N/A s13 with a bit more thump

Stock rebuilt KA, stock SOHC pistons, high compression, 370cc injectors, Cometic headgasket and boost? Sounds like you're building a bomb not an engine...

lol, make sure you do some more researching before you just talk outta your ass. it would be low boost around ~5-7psi when it is ka-t. the E85 is 104 octane which is guaranteed to NOT knock. thanks for the bump!

thanks brotha, at the moment hasn't been dyno'd but id guess right now around 165-170, this thing has instant torque and great response..if you get a tune to dial it in on N/A setup theres no doubt in my mind it would be in the low 190's...ka-t would be around 230-245.

Need to understand that higher compression and forced induction=much higher cylinder pressures. Stock puny KA rods won't enjoy that and neither will the stock pistons/ringlands. I understand the properties of E85, do you realize it takes approximately 30% more fuel to achieve a desired air/fuel ratio when compared to pump gas? Making your 370cc injectors effectively about 259cc.
I'm sure this motor runs great N/A and I wish you glws, but boost is not a good idea for that motor...

I'd boost it start at 12psi.....I didn't know there was such pussys in this world....stock Honda ITR motor is 11:1 or higher and they will make well into the 500s with just headstuds and last... Your gonna need bigger injectors, fuel pump and a clutch

haha word brotha. I forgot to mention it does have a 255 but im not looking for big numbers just something to have fun with and be reliable., either way its a solid setup as is..or ka-t. ill probably look into s15 injectors not a bad idea

I like how you did your math here. You calculated 30% of 370cc to come up with that 259cc like the KA actually comes with 370cc stock.. Just some correction stock KA are 270cc so to convert to E85 will be atleast %30 over stock so it would be additional 81cc on top of 270cc which would be what? 351cc if anything were a bit on the rich side. It's definitely not advisable for any high boost given the parts specs but should be able to handle just small amount to be fun..
Here's a vid of a similar spec running T3/T4, obviously larger injectors, maf it will hold on done right and properly tuned.
