Wiper Malfunction

So my windshield wipers are retarded. If i move the lever the wipers will turn on but it wont turn off. Itll just keep going and going. The only way i can stop it is by moving the lever in a certain postion to where it gets stuck. Or sometimes i get lucky and it stops on its own when move it to the top position. So i figured my wiper switch was bad so i bought one today from a person who was parting out a s13. What are the removal and installation steps on how to do this? I havent really tampered with that area yet.

Take the shroud off around your steering column and look at it. If you look underneath, you'll see little holes where screws are that need to be removed. Once you get it apart, it's literally a couple screws and an electrical connector to change the switch. Easy peasy.

So i just replaced this. This is my old one. And my windshield wipers still keep going non stop. It wont turn off. What else could be the problem?
