What's up everyone? I've got an s13 project that I picked up a while back that I was looking for some advice on.
It's a 90 hatch, ka24de swapped, enthalpy Tuned ecu,top mount t3, 550cc sidefeeds, Z32 maf, butterfly's removed from the intake. Ect
The car will not run unless I smack or jiggle the fuse box. After doing so the car will run well for about 5 minutes, then it will break up and missfire under a load like a hill, it idles smooth as silk, free revs fine, and the first few minutes of it running it's very strong. Like it should be.
I was metering some stuff a while back and noticed that the eccs relay wouldn't kick without me messing with the box. I metered power to the fuel pump and noticed that It continually dropped voltage until I was at about 7 volts where it didn't provide enough fuel to run, so I put it on a switch. It always will run now. Just not consistently
My logic is that other components of the car powered by that source are also dropping voltage causing the car to miss when it builds boost.
Any ideas on how to bandaid the problem? I'm going to hot wire the coil soon to see if it makes a difference, but what i think i need to do is replace the whole fuse box and the harness that goes with it.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Mark
