Hey guys, I recently bought Energy Suspension bushing to fix that bang noise everytime I shift. After installing the bushing, I get a clunk noise everytime I drive over small bumps on the street. I also notice after installing the new bushing that it left a small in gap.W ould a subframe bushing collar fix that problem?! Thanks again guys much help would be appreciated!

I.....don't think you installed that bushing correctly. Did you try to install it with a hammer? O_o

You gonna have to drop that subframe out again and have it presssed properly.

If you're broke, at least get one of these: http://www.harborfreight.com/12-ton-shop-press-33497.html

Otherwise, ask a mechanic shop with a press and pay $40 to press them out for you (cuz they treat young kids like idiots).

I hope this is just a failed attempt at a press, otherwise have someone else install it for you.

Umm, my 10yr old daughter put my subframe bushings in (she seriously did)... Grease them, and they pop right in with only slight tapping needed.

Looks to me like either you only used half of the set (uppers + lowers = 8 total); or really messed up putting them in.

Should look like this:

If S13, leave cups in... If S14, you need to cut/pop them out. Reading the directions really helps. If you don't have them, Energy has them on their site.
