View Full Version : IL 1998 NISSAN 240SX LE low milage.
MY95SILVIA
12-06-2013, 10:27 PM
Up for sale is 1998 Nissan 240sx LE Edition, fully loaded. The car is in outstanding condition. Very low mileage: 59,XXX. Completely original with all the LE options. It has factory keyless entry/auto start, 6 disk CD player, ABS, LSD, fog lights, rear sway bar and many other options. The car has been serviced at the Nissan dealership for most of its life. It looks, runs and drives great - no issues. The underbody is very clean with no common 240 rust.
The low mileage is really shown in the condition of the vehicle.
I understand this car is not for everybody, it's for someone who is looking for something that is fully original and values the rarity. I'm not going to talk business unless you've seen the car in person.
Price: $10,000 OBO
Thanks for looking

Looks like there is rust all over the bolts under the car, you have rust on the exhaust, and looks like there is some on the rear subframe too. For that kind of price I would expect 0 rust.
Is that alarm and 6 cd changer a factory option or aftermarket?

So it's been resprayed?
Why would it need that if its only got 59xxx miles?

Guessing he's trying to sell this as a perfect car, not just another Kouki. Hence the billion dollar price tag

The car was professionally painted due to cosmetic purpose only, all elements are original with serial number tags. Decided to paint because it had scratches on bumpers from parking and stuff.

Man these people really don't have any idea that in the near future this car is going to be hard ass fuck to find in these kind of condition. Haters gonna hate. A buddy of mine found a 98 s14 with just 12,580 miles on it. It was 5spd, and he paid over this price that is labeled on this thread. He didn't complain at all. So therefore good luck with the sale.

In all honesty, Ebay will probably be the best bet. Especially if you want to get anything above 5k.
My cousin bought a 98 LE 5 speed ( not fuck boi auto lol) with 37,000 miles for 4k
granted he ruined it with slapping a 1jz into it as soon as he got it but to each its own.

Mileage almost never reflects the condition of a car I've owned cars with upwards of 500k that had original paint and interior u would swear they had 40k on them...high mileage well cared for cars are generally more reliable from my experience also as all of the things that were going to break along the way already have...I would personally buy a car that had some flaws for 1/4-1/3 of what your asking and that way I knew it didn't have any fresh shitty body repairs or mechanical repairs....glws I don't see 10k happening its not collectible...

You know that the space for the clutch pedal is already there, right? just use a hole saw and pop in the $13 slave and a $5 hardline. Your going to spend $50-$100 on a pedal though.
Then swap in that S14 sr20det and your done. We all know thats where this car is going anyways.

The beauty of this car is... you can drive it for 10 more years on this engine. Then when it has 150,000 miles, all the rest of the 240's will have double that. What will it be worth then? Ready for a swap, all original Kouki with 150k in 2023. Hmmm.

The car is a 1998 and its close to 60,000k, to me the only thing missing was a spotless paint, The main reason it was painted is probably that it's BLACK and every little scratch was visible.
