well long story short i broke a chain guide or should i say the P.O. was an idiot
and took the lower guide off and the chain was rubbing on the bolt...

so i pulled the engine and fix it sealed everything up.... i put the engine back in and had to screw with the distributer to time right ....finally got it to idle without missing

and that was fine... I'm running just the header... until i can go down the street and get a flange welded up...

im not sure if the timing was messed up or not because i don't have a light

anyways i drove down the street revs seemed good about 15 at idle but loud as shit because it was just the header also it wasn't warm so they explains the high idle

i literally drive down the street pull into the garage and shut it off ....then i try and start it and "smoke" under the right side of the hood as if your looking from the drivers seat...and i look an see flames roll out of the exhaust as i crank but no spark, nothing no slight running .... i quickly pop the hood and see nothing a little smoke maybe coming from near the intake????

and now no start??? could there be some predet stuff that could have affected the engine just going down the street? please help I'm at a loss i have no idea i thought i figured it out ,,, but i guess this s13 is going fight me to the bitter end.

i'm stumped too... its cranking, you have spark, it seems like you dont' have fuel pressure?

I just installed a walbro 155 like a month ago and it smelt like gas

I'm pretty sure my plugs are wet but it's late here I don't have time to check it ... I'm so stumped... Maybe my wiring got messed up? But why would it run then quit and smoke?

I'm a little confused because you said crank no spark with flames coming out of the exhaust. And are you now getting nothing at all? Does the motor still turn, just not over?

I stand corrected I am getting spark it just would not run or pop or partially start ....I ended up changing my ditributor position turning it almost all the way clockwise and it started I think driving it cold and with the timing not right it fouled my plugs some how ? Also an unrelated question can I sauder in a new temp sending plug on my upper harness??? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mBQldvPwHAs&feature=youtube_gdata_player&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DmBQldvPwHAs%26feature%3 Dyoutube_gdata_player

Engine needs air,fuel and ignition

Check fuses, check power at fuel pump and check for spark,
Process of elimination
