Maybe it's the stock KA radiator that doesn't cut it..

Did you change the radiator cap? :)
Do you have a front mount intercooler blocking air to your rad?
Do you have a clutch fan or e-fan?
If it's a clutch fan: does it work properly? Can it be stopped fairly easily?

did you keep the shroud on?
I hauled arse thru the grapevine in cali with my SR, FMIC blocking the stock SR radiator too, no issues.

Get a new radiator.. I think the C&R radiator is the best deal. radiator, electric fan, cap and harness all for 500.00!

My friend has a C18, in a coupe and he blew his motor because he had the stock radiator.

You could be running lean??? just a thought.

what are you using to check the temp? I hope to hell not the stock guage. i've covered this before. its inaccurate as hell and you should NOT be trusting it for anythiing other than telling you when you need a new motor. get a real guage. take it to a dealer that has a laser pyrometer and check it that way at the very least. 10 to 1 your not really running hot just the stock guage sucks.

my cars been running the stock KA rad with a crappy electric fan running 14psi for over a year and never had it overheat even sitting in 90 degree rush hour traffic in the middle of atlanta.
