What are you wanting to accomplish here? Are you trying to adjust the toe more? Why not center your rack, then adjust the toe some more to see if you even need another set of inner/outer tie rod(ends).

post pics and give more details on what you are trying to achieve. How is the rack not centered now??

okay,
the rack isn't centered because i extended one side of it by 3 inches.

so currently, my car turns left 1.75 turns to the lock
and 1.25 turns to lock right.

my steering wheel is crooked, but my wheels are straight.

the tie rods are toed in as far as they can go, so i can't center the rack. does that make sense?

Pull the inner tie rods off of the rack...

Center the rack...

Connect inners to outers...

Do some geometry and post back...

The steering wheel is the least of your worries...

Get shit squared away.

...how in the fuck is your rack extended by 3"?

whatever the spacer kit they make for it is, 2.5 or so.

you don't understand, the tie rods are toed in as far as they go.

like the outer cannot go onto the inner any farther.

Cut 3/4" of the tie-rod. The end that threads into the outer tie-rod. If that doesn't solve your problem, then get rid of the extension.

Edit:

Before you make any cuts, take the jam-nut and thread it all the way down onto the inner tie-rod, then thread the inner tie-rod as far as it will go into the outer tie-rod. Measure the gap from the outer tie-rod to the jam nut.

Report back w/ findings.

I'm in the same boat as the op.

Won't adding one of those spacers just cause a ton of toe? How do I effectively negate the increased toe while remaining the longer steering rack? Maybe I'm just miss understanding how these work but any recomendations or insight how they work? Felt this related to me rather than making a new topic
