I'll just put it this way... my tranny held up to auto downshifting for a good 4-5 months... then... I may have thrown it into reverse on the highway possibly... then I peg-legged it home and swapped my 5 spd. :bigok:

I manually shifted for about a week and a half. For another week after that the thing would BARELY shift at all...lol,it was punishing me; After that it shifts fine.

it should downshift automatically when you nail the throttle.

if the gear you want to select is appropriate for the speed you are going then it's fine.
