alright, on my s13 I will go to lock the door, passanger and driver. but when I slam the door shut or even shut it slowly, they automatically unlock. the only way I can secure my car is if I crawl out of the hatch, I have manual locks and windows. I got the car in this condition also so I know I didnt do anything.

You have to hold the handle up while you close the door.

You don't have to crawl out the hatch, you know. It is possible to lock the doors from outside the vehicle by using the key, yes, the same key you use to unlock them. Just turn it the other way...

THX turning the key the other way is also not an option. the key will only unlock them in my case so dont talk out of your ass like you know something. also it is ironic how my friend fastback 240 can use his key to unlock my locks also. this is not good if im putting an sr in. so is my only option to buy new locks and does anybody know how much this may cost. thanks.

No ass-talkin' going on here, MJ, just trying to inject a little levity. If your key won't lock your doors, then something's fubar with your locks and/or your key.

I loved the way the locks worked on my old 260Z. They were designed so it was impossible to lock the door while it was open, so you had to lock it with the key when you left the car, and it was therefore impossible to lock the keys in the car. Hell, I even loved the seatbelts in that thing. I miss it, I want another.

sorry i was just pissed off. but yah im guessing if my friend can get in w his key then there is some major corrosion or something fucked up. so yah ill just have to go to the dealer and see what they can do.

Maybe u can just get power door locks/actuators.. that way u can just use a remote to lock/unlock them.. better yet, if u have a sr, get an alarm with it.
