I thought the present Skyline headlights where excellent already. I reckon these are a bit mad . Or are these off a concept too?

these aren't off a concept.
it's the new Skyline car from Nissan. It's equivalent is the Infiniti G35 i believe, (being sold this year in N.America)
the GTR is no longer under the skyline label, hence its name is the Nissan GTR.
the skyline is a family car now. or so i've been told.

The Skyline and the GTR aren't even based on the same chassis anymore, I think. Some concept pics I've seen have the new GTR looking like a variant of the new 350Z...triangular (not bulbous) headlights included.

i was wondering if maybe the skyline name is still the same in japan, but just different in the US, especially since this will be the first "skyline" we will c. i don't c me ever getting one, it's just now what i want from a "skyline," i'd wanna get an r32-r34 gt-r.

R32s are preety cheap to come by.
i have heard ppl from Australia importing them from Japan for about $2000USD... it's just Motorex imports them for crazy $$$$$$$$

what theyre probably gonna do is take the family sedan (i wouldnt call it that actuall, sport sedan is more like it) and slap on a turbo or two. its in a v confuguarion instead of inline. and yea they have totally different chassis and sheetmetal althogh the gtr might still be called the skyline (its a great name) dont think theyll ditch it that quickly. its iconic. anywho its not gonna be called a skyline here its the shitty g35 (#### those letter number combos!)

why does this crap always come up in a skyline thread, "it's going to be a family car".
it's always been a #### family car, we as americans have only really cared about the GTR and GTS's Sport models and thus have no real knowledge of the regular base model 4 door skyline. that has been around sense the freaken late 60's.

hehehehe, I know, I know. Hey... have they said anything about the skyline on the 3si board? (I've got a friend with a stealth) I only ask because most of the other boards seem to be a little more leanient as far as the new concepts.

true, the skyline does have that base 4 door model, n a lot of ppl do have them, but even in japan, they're not really known for that. n kitoro, those r32's probably aren't the gt-r's that i'm talking about, i'm sure they're the ones that haloz is mentioning, a 4 door sedan or 2 door w/ no turbo. motorex imports the gt-r's mostly, which even cost way more than the gts-t models which r like 212 hp stock.

What's not AWD? The new Skyline AWD version has been released in Japan... Maybe we'll get a G35 AWD to compete with Audi (kinda) and BMW ix models. . I dunno..
