I always wanted a 240sx coupe and on the day after high school grad (6/19/11) I bought my dream car for $1,000 from my friends dad. It was everything I wanted, '93 black coupe, dual cam, 5 speed. It had a burnt clutch but that didn't stop me from taking it everywhere while the clutch was still able to grab. Clutch ended up giving out on me and I bought a ACT 6 Puck and installed it with helping hands through other forums.

I went for a leisurely cruise in the mountains and understeered into the side of the mountain just scratching the body a little, snapped tension rod, and bent lca. Next day went to Pick N Pull and was fixed.

I only had it on my car running during the video. My car started running a little weird(ended up being cas) right before my event and in the process of troubleshooting I removed it. I've read mixed reviews about it. For the most part I guess excessively popping off the limiter and higher rpms will cause valve float which damages the head. But I guess tomei ras can help make the problem go away.

the correct fix is stiffer springs and a good cam
RAS prevent the rockers from flying off
then they just shatter and break apart senting little bits of metal inside your engine durring valve float

NO. The correct fix is dual rocker arm guides. RAS are pointless and a waste of money that only make the problem worse by breaking the rocker arms.

On topic, what's the deal with your sunroof? I've never seen a coupe sunroof that opens up OUT of the car like that. I have an 89 with power sunroof and when it did work it just went down and into the roof.

Idk dude that's how I got the car, the car was bone stock and I don't think the previous owners would have had a custom sunroof installed. Car is originally from Washington if that matters. People have questioned my sunroof but as far as I know it's stock? Factory upgrade for 93s maybe?

does the switch have the letters "ASC" on it?

well be warned..they is aftermarket. I had them on my S14, they were offered at the dealership mid 90's.

Mini update. My bar came in, purchased from Matt Meza (matts13vert) of Street Faction. Was 170 shipped. Installed with stock bumper support hardware and my BN bumper fit on perfectly.

My friend Mike Yee installed it. LED strip is on the outside of the glass secured with adhesive backing and he drilled a small hole in the window trimming to run the wires. LED are powered by tapping into the tail light wires.

Yesterday I decided to finally install my clear lens covers and it turned out great. All I did was bake them for about 10 minutes at 220 and peeled the stock lens right off. Turned out beautiful.

Thanks. I can take a couple pics for you but I didn't do anything special to fit them. I've got a greddy core so it sits perfectly. Maybe you need to adjust the piping to get your core lined up better. I'll take some pics when I get back from LA.

What it is, is I have the dmax fenders and the mounts on the side didn't hold well so I fab'd my side mounts and the inner braces I still need to come up with something bc my core is in the way of there the oem mounts would go.

So I ordered my Defi gauges today, $630 shipped from Rallysport direct. If you know a buddy who can get them for $615 shipped please don't tell me. I hate when friends tell me they can get me a deal when I already bought someting.

Anyways, here's which ones I ordered. Defi Racer 52mm Boost pressure, oil pressure, and water temp. Really looking forward to installing these gauges. I have a feeling like I will sit in my car and turn my ignition on and off many times lol.

Two black strips of adhesive waterproof led red (front + rear)
Drilled hole in corner of window trim
Ran wires from brake light harness to both lights
Covered up holes with black rtv

It's pretty simple, as for the exact led strips I don't know which ones they are.
Hopefully that helped.

Yeah it's pretty fun and the margin for error is pretty huge although I was pushing it and getting pretty close to the walls and poles for fun. I really want to do a full track event this year. I'm planning on heading up to Oregon to drift PARC in June.

So I'm gonna try and take baby steps. But I love putting my car together. I put the front end together today (NOT BOLTED) to see how it lines up. I maxed out the rears and just looked at my car... Yes track only, which isn't bad since ebisu is massive. ¥695,000 and yes from power vehicles, buying from them allows you to use their resources such as tire machines, mechanic assistance and etc. Highly reccomend them! I went alone my first time and they were very helpful.
