Hello all. Ive been hearing various people with various cars talking about doing an open header for their exhaust system by welding an exhaust cut out to the end of their header.
So this exhaust cut out is a Y shaped pipe; one side going into the cat back, and the other cut out. If its an electric exhaust cut out, you can switch it open or close header while driving...(in sr20's case, downpipe or turbo outlet im guessing??) Its said to be exptremely loud but has much more affect than a straight pipe.

just an example, (This is from a 480hp Civic with an LS turbo.) You see the cut out??
Im really wondering where it would go for the sr20 though. Is there a turbo outlet or downpipe manufactured with the exhaust cut out?
So, Im wondering if anyone out there have the exhaust cut out for their sr20det/turbo engine, or know of this??? Perhaps explain it more? Im kind of interested.
