it responds VERY well under instant power, both weheels spin equally and car holds drift hell of alot longer..
better than j30 and vlsd by far.

Have you drove vlsd before?
Is it holding up pretty good/constant/predictable?

im riding on stock (200,000mile) suspension with blown struts at stock ride heith and one blown tie rod and stock wheels and tires, im not gunna fuck aorund too much until i get my JIC coilovers on, ill give another "first hand report on it"
it works good i never had vlsd but my friend who does have vlsd likes phantomgrip more and thinks its alot better. it grips very well

The knock on Phantom Grip that i have heard is that they break with decent horsepower, and also don't last that long for drifting or drag launching. Not stating a fact, just what i know from other peoples experiences.

Listen, I used to sell those fucking things all day. GARBAGE! They are worth the money if you don't plan on doing SERIOUS driving and don't intend to have high horsepower goals... And with out those, WHAT THE HELLS THE POINT?? LoL

you're all saying "omg finally first hand experience.. etc etc" this has been beaten to death already by mattback. it's concluded that this differential sucks. thank you.

a vlsd would be way better, for the sameish price, and it wont die in a few weeks. even the honda guys hate them, they rip them apart. if it doesnt work in a torqueless honda, you think itll take the torque from a 240?

vlsds die too

in a week?
neighbors honda=140tq, and the phantomslip lasted 8 days. the spring just kinda tore in half.
they are shit, i wouldnt waste my money on one.

ok, sounds fair, but we also need someone with power to test it out. it may fare fine in a stock car, but die instantly with some torque put to it.

ok i just have like 265hp to the wheels on 13lbs psi
it performs fine as of now

The first hand experience I was talking about was the newer phantom grip extreme which im assuming this dude bought. Your buddy mattback propably had the old version(gold) which everyone knows is trash. The extreme has a new design where the springs are integrated in the blocks and has much higher clamping force and better lockup/
