Before I ask Sorry if this has been looked over.
I have been skimming through old threads looking at Super bright Led's and I want to get some of my own I am considering the Purple since my car's color is midnight pearl and has that purple tint to it and want to keep that theme going with the gauge cluster.
My question is would the Purple (UV) LED's be bright enough in my gauge cluster or would they just be as dull as stock? I've tried looking for an example of what they would look like but can't seem to find an image.
Once again sorry for restarting a thread that must have been started quite some time ago. Just wanted an answer before I buy them.

Looking at the specs page for the "5 LED 194 BULB" on superbrightleds.com
The UV purple bulbs will produce about 1/2 the brightness of a blue LED bulb and 1/4 the brightness of a white bulb.
I cant really comment on the brightness vs a stock bulb but i'm very happy with the blue LED bulbs I bought and I probably wouldn't go any dimmer.

^^The 'Cool White" LED from Superbright have a nice, purplish hue to them... If you're looking for the bright white with the slight bluish tinge, then you need "Super White"...

I looked up and got somewhat of an idea of what they will look like. I definitely want the purplish hint to it think it'll look good IMO.

I have white LED's in my gauge cluster. Defiantly brighter. But not AS bright as my prosport gauges.guessing it's just because of stock gauge cluster material. This is in an s13 idk if an s14 would have different results It's not bad unless your super OCD.

Gauge cluster: Its better then stock. It looks good. wished I would've went with the 5 SMD light but for the price its a great upgrade. Maybe in the future i'll bump up but for now this is perfect for me. Not to bright and not to dull.

Overall I'm very impressed with my purchase not bad for only 20 bucks. Highly recommend it if your wanting to do something different.
