So I went over to SEMA today and to my surprise when I stopped by the Tanabe booth, SSR had something epic sitting out on display front and center!!!
Heres the info I learned, copy and pasted from my DorkiDori Facebook page...
So SSR Meshies update from the SSR Booth at SEMA 2013! SSR has infact re-released their old mesh wheel again! They are offering it in 2 styles, Reverse Mesh and Formula Mesh. Sizes available are 16x6.5 thru 16x10 and 19x7 thru 19x12.5 in any offset your little hearts can imagine! The barrels and discs are NOT compatible with older SSR Meshies, however, the center caps are! (but only if youre a x114.3 lug pattern, x100 need not apply). 2 colors are available, Silver and Gold. All popular lug patterns will be available. See my SEMA photos for brand new pics!

I'm a fan of these old school mesh maybe on a old ass 90's style s13 but these things are pretty ugly on anything newer.
Same can be said for ugly ass bbs rs wheels which are popular for some god awful reason.

Haha, my friend wanted 16's, then he saw me roll up in my 17" GT-C's.
Now he wants 17's.

Regardless, Glad SSR is coming back. Hopefully they bring em out in worthwhile sizes.

half the thread was removed as it was turning into an arguement that had nothing to do with the original topic. (so it was moved to PM's where things could be settled a bit more discretely)

I LOVE flat lips, which is why VS-XX's will always be the mesh wheel for me :).
These are cool, but I'm not sure they got the combos down, that FR-S looks pretty dumb. The Lexus IS they have on their facebook page looks decent though.

If you haven't noticed yet, that's kinda how things work around here. Someone has their opinion, and someone argues about it.
Do you have any idea on how moderating a forums works?
I don't think you do. Your lack of objectivity is offensive to say the least.

16s and 19s? How the fuck did they come up with those sizes.
What ever happened to good ol' 15s 17s and 18s??? Wow. I'm sad :(
OHH Shit look at all the people STOKED on 16's

hey man, that decision was completely up to SSR. i think its a bit strange too, but im leaning more toward "why 19s?" after pondering on it for a bit.

lol, gotta agree with everyone else, 16s and 19s aren't aimed at s chassis owners. Maybe the 19s might appeal to the 370z guys,

And just about any of the newer cars.
While the 16s are for the classic cars.

are 16s popular in the honda market now? or are they all still doing the 15" thing?
Yes 16s are extremely popular in the honda scene, even though recently (thanks to the herrafrush movement) they have started venturing into 17's with our offsets.
Which bugs the crap out of me. Since all we could buy for years were accord rims, now they are snatching up all of our valid options.

the dumbest part of 16s is the severe lack of tire options.
265/45s are too damn tall
245/45s are no longer made in anything but $$$ comp tires
225/50s are down to only a few decent street tires
225/45s are down to only a few street tires period
≤205s are reasonably plentiful but too narrow to bother using

was just going to post this.... 19s are not much better for sizing options and they cost significantly more than the 18s or 20s with similar sizing. Plus they aren't nearly as common at most tire shops.... least the last time I had 19s they were a pain to get.
Mesh wheels like this in a 19 do not appeal to me, and the styling is too "old" for a 350 or 370 IMO. If the prices listed is a set and not an each price, I might be interested in a set of the 16s. 17s in a gold would excite me for my cx5, but idk.
anyways, look forward to seeing what the come out with.

You know that there is no way, that pricing is for a set. We are talking about SSR wheels here.

Enkie 92s aren't that much for new ones for a set.... Granted they are aren't multi-piece but still.
Enkei 92 ENKEI92 Rims Gold 15x7 5x114 3 38 Set of 4 Wheels | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ENKEI-92-ENKEI92-RIMS-GOLD-15x7-5x114-3-38-SET-OF-4-WHEELS-/290902045555?_trksid=p2054897.l4276)
I won't hold my breath that is an each price, but for $600/wheel on a 16" wheel you are looking at being compared to TE37 money....

Enkei wheels although high in quality, will never sell for as much as SSR, Work, Weds, etc. Also, like you said 3 piece wheels, are going to always cost more.

Not to mention the 92 remakes look gross. I have SSR reverse mesh up front and the new 92s in the back. It makes me sad :(

agreed, but to compare them being then only $42 less less than a te37 in the same size is hard to imagine too.
Volk Racing TE37 Wheel 16x7 4x100 (http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/volk-racing-te37-wheel-16x7-4x100-p-10961.html)
or $50 more than
SSR Professor SP1 R Wheel 16x7.5 4x100 (http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/ssr-professor-sp1-wheel-16x75-4x100-p-58419.html)
just seems like it would price itself out of the market. I have a lot of love for SSR meshies, but hard to justify that price. Just IMO....

Don't forget the fact, that the SSR's can be ordered in custom offsets as well, adding to the price.
