As asked before: is that a hotspot on the bottom left of the flywheel??

If so, then this would need to be resurfaced or balanced (or purchase a whole new friction surface if able to), hence my question

That is a hot spot from a harsh engagement. The flywheel had less 500 miles on it. No need to resurface this over a hot spot. It's a discoloration due to heat. I can guarantee its not warped over something so small.
My $2400 triple disc on my evo had worse markings on it in 100 miles. 20k miles later still spec*d out against runout & parallelism .

Exactly Orlando some people don't know what they're talking about...

Hotspot from harsh engagement or someone who don't know how to drive.
