i have a 1990 s13 that i drove for the last 6 years with a ka24e no problems ever.
earlier this year i pulled the engine and trans and sold it and swapped in a 2jz stock twins motor and w58 5 speed.
i am having a serisous wiring problem with the chassis itself now and i cant figure it out. the ecu and engine harness as a whole is completely unhooked from the fuse boxes and chassis harness.
now, when i turn my key to the ignition spot and turn the key off and take it out the red dummy lights(oil door brake and such)on the bottom right of my cluster stay on. how ever the accessories such as my radio all shut off light they should. when i remove the key, i stil get ignition power until i remove a battery cable, or easier, is the single pin plug that gos to the positive connector on the battery. when i hook the battery up again all the dash is turned off like it should be, this tells me it is not the actual ignition where the key goes, but more likely a stuck relay. i just dont understand why it is now happening when the car was perfectly fine when i pulled the old motor. i have checked all the relays that i can find and swapped them to no avail.
im pretty sure that this problem has nothing to do with the engine or the engine haress seeing how it is all unplugged.
i want to start this thing up so bad but dont want a car that cant shut down properly. thanks a lot
