Alright this may be a dumb set up but I've never seen it done nor do I know if it would work or even be worth it, but here it goes. I have a stock ka24de with 5 degree advanced timing on 93 octane, aftermarket header and Megan catback exhaust. Also took out the air box and put a cone filter (lol). But anyways I have 460cc injectors out of my rx7 was wondering if it would be worth it to put into the ka and if so would I have I change maf, intake manifold, throttle body, intake or anything for it to make sense or power. I know I'd have to get a tune but would there be anything else that's recommended to get done with just the upgrades injectors. I've never seen it done on a stock motor and I kind of want to try it out. Let me know if anyone has tried this and what results they got. Thanks.

Keep stock injectors. Get yourself an n60 or n62 maf and a decent tune and call it a day. You should be pushing around 160 ish to the wheels depending on tune.

You don't think putting the 460's on a stock motor would do much?

There would be no benefit to putting larger injectors in with the mods that you have. If you wanted to stay na and let's say put the kae pistons in then I would make sense. But without changing compression with either forced induction or taller pistons there is no point. The maf will make a big difference tho but you will need at the very least an safc to run it

Single cam pistons? Hmm I just want to throw something quick together to get a little more power. Being basically stock is getting boring. Would I need single cam rods too or just the piston heads?

You would have to run 97 octane for the compression you would be getting. It might be a little faster but its not going to be earth shattering. Do a google search and you will find so much info on the swap, more than any of us are going to bother repeating. Some people say they are running 91 just fine but the few I have seen could never get them tuned right running 91.

i would like more info on upgrading ONLY the MAF. I notice the inside hole is a bit small.

what MAF do i need and will it work with my original ka24de ecu (95 s14)

i don't want to tune or have to do dumb crap in order to go to a bigger maf, so if a lot is required i will just leave it be.

With a MAF change it will definitely need a tune to make her run well. I have seen people frankenstein a stock KA MAF by taking it apart a rebuilding onto a larger inner diam pipe... N60 or N62 would be much simpler.

^ could you elaborate on "n60" /"n62"

what is it and would i have to tune afterward?

Sell the ka for $5000 on craigslist then buy a v8. Problem solved.
