That turbo is not new - it has clearly been used before....

The person who gave this to me told me it was never ran before. The blades look new and theres zero shaft play. I also think the person who game me this turbo assembled it himself and just bought the GT3076r cartridge, the other parts might be used?

Both wheels have been ran. .. you can tell in the color of them plus the comp wheel should have paint marks on it. .. also the turbine wheel is not Garret its aftermarket as it has the 1/2" bolt head on it Garrett wheels do not have these except fot jb turbos. Not trying to knock you just letting you know. ..

So you're telling me he took a gt3076 chra and replaced both compressor and turbine wheels on it ??? Thanks for updating me with this info, I've never assembled a turbo before.
