Brake Problem....

Ok, on my 95 SE my left rear caliper eats thru pads like there is no tommorrow, i'm wondering exactly what the problem could be...it's only the driver side rear that eats thru the pads....one friend of mine said the caliper might be fucked up (obviously) but i was wondering if it could be warped or is there anything that could be done about it?

I'm pretty sure your caliper is seized up. Try twisting it back then see if the problem still persist, if its still eating your pad then its seized. The same thing happened to me, . You've got a few choices, rebuild it yourself if you know how, find a used one (junkyards), or buy a rebuit one. Good luck.

I had the same problem with my left-rear on my S14. For me, it was covered by insurance.

did whoever install it made sure that the pad and piston line up right? There's a small pertruding pin at the end of the pad and it's suppose to line up with the piston where the groove is so it wont' move out. This could be the reason
