I have a 1990 240 and i bought the autometer dual gauge pod that you mount on your a pillar. When i took the plastic off and stuck the pod the a pillar plastic there is a gap between the the pod and the plastic. It is not sitting flush. Do I have the wrong gauge pod or did anyone else experince this problem? I notice on a pic on heavythrottle.com that there is a gap on that one. Thanks

Mike

if you heat it up with a heat gun then stick it on, it should form to the A-pillar.

Some 3M doubble stick tape will make that thing stick good!

mine is shitty cause i mounted it too high, but it formed nicely when it was lower to the dash. donno if you tried that though.

like mjjstang said, if you mount it either too high or too low, it will do that. There is a specific area of the pillar that it should be mounted at, if you're not flush, you most likely missed the sweet spot... mine fit like a glove, I was quite impressed.

do you think maybe I got the wrong one? It is like a half inch gap.

Wow. I think even if it's not aligned right, we're talking about like 1/8th of an inch off. If you're that far off, I'd say you got either a damaged/mis-manufactured/or just plain wrong model. maybe u got an s14 one?

Any way you look at it, what you got is not right.

yah even with mine not in the right spot it is not nearly as off as yours. call em and tell them you got one that was broken or something and they should send you new one. sometimes they dont even want the other one back so u can sell it to some ricer at school or work or whatever.
