One of the coolant lines to my turbo recently starting leaking, so I went ahead and pulled the turbo out along with the header. I noticed right away that my header was cracked in multiple places. It does not have any branding on it and it seems to be a cheap one installed by the previous owner.

Needless to say I am in the market for a replacement header. I want to replace it with a quality one so I do not have to go through this again. The DOC and MXP header seem to be qualty headers but I have not been able to find reviews on them. Is there anyone here that has them installed? Also, I would like to hear recommendations on any other quality headers that are out there.

I have a bottom mount setup with a T28.

For anything south of 400hp, you don't need a tubular header. The factory one will flow and out last any of the craptastic manifolds out there. The Tomei unit is a quality piece, just like the Doc race and Fullrace counterparts.

My suggestion, save your cash and find a factory manifold.

OEM Manifold is best, both performance and longevity/reliably wise. The Tubular setups are nice, but you need to spend top dollar on a Doc setup to be worthwhile...even the Tomei ones crack as they simply aren't braced well enough.

I use an OEM manifold as for my use, they are perfect.

If your on a tight budget or are wanting to get a proper tubular manifold you can always get your welded in the mean time or while you source a new cast manifold.

you can always port an OEM manifold if you are careful and do it correctly, might not gain much but better, smoother flow cant hurt

OEM manifold indeed.
I've used DOC race, OEM manifold and other stainless crap ones before.
OEM has best responds and longevity plus they are dirt cheap compare to any other aftermarket piece. Perhaps you could get a heat shield(painted black or any color you like) to cover up ugliness of OEM one.

If you have some extra $ to spend, find an OEM manifold then send it to Codyace for Tial wastegate flange welded on. You will have smooth boost hold even with high boost setting.
