Hey everyone. I'm looking to buy an s13 and i've been trying to see if they're notorious for any mechanical issues but can't find any. If anybody can tell me if there is or isn't issues with that car it will help. Thanks!

My car is stuck at the shop right now. Every time I fix something, i find something else wrong. This isn't trolling, this is seriously how the past month has been for me. lmao
Buy a honda, they will last longer than the sun.

Dude, it's over 20 years old and has been owned by who knows what kind of retards in the past. Of course it has a lot of issues. With 240's you've gotta go over the car from front to back simply because they're old. Once you do all the maintenance that previous owners ignored they're reliable as hell. I've never had any of my 240's leave me by the side of the road...

Why? Because there are no issues at all. :-)
Easy to maintain, strong engine and great chassis. Buy one and try it for yourself. You won't regret.

Woah, settle down. lol I bought someone's unfinished project with goals of my own in mind. So 20 year old car + SR swap + cheap parts = a lot of fun hours spent looking for the problem. I don't mind personally, I knew what I was buying. This car is quite reliable except for little issues simply due to lack of maintenance.
Have some fun with the OP ;) We both know everything he needs to know is already here on the forums.
I still vote Honda.

They don't have any mechanical issues at all, I don't even need to use gas, I just put cat shit in my gas tank an run nitrous to make up for the power loss.

dailyed my sohc from 16-21 only thing that i needed to replace was a timing chain.
id look for rust, and make sure it isnt blowing smoke. and if the owner tries giving you a box of parts that belong in the car i would just leave.
if your worried about mechanical issues this it not the car for you.. thats the least of your worries.. the car is 24yrs old depending on the year .. so yes lots
