I've got a 95 240sx with the 300zx brake upgrade. Drilled and slotted rotors all the way around. Today, My passenger side front brake pad decided to constantly rub my rotor. I need help with this ASAP please. What would be the cause of this? Thank you

prob needs to be rebuilt unless you bought them new.

yeah souds like the pistons on the caliper on that side are getting stuck.

id rebuild, theres several tutorial video's on youtube.

im asuming you could have the car in the air and try hand spinning that wheel and it would drag or bearly move at all right?

I had that side off a few weeks ago but seemed to spin fine

Have you taken them off yet? Chances are the caliper piston(s) seized up.

Have you serviced them properly? i.e lubed the surface the pads slide on and made sure the grommets seal the pistons. A common problem on old cars is that brake hoses deteriorate to an extent where fluid can only move one way.

Here's how they retract:

It is all down the squared seal :)

If it spins and drags and spins could be a warped rotor also, if not just get a rebuild kit from rock auto.

I also had the same problem, did a light rebuild and it was great after.

Could it be a pad going bad? Like the back pad?

lol. Stop trying to get out of rebuilding the caliper. Just do it.
