A buddy of mine just bougth a 95 s14 se, it is built for n/a, but he wants it to be faster then his previous car (stock formula v8 thunderbird) He doesnt think he will be able to make it faster with out slappin a turbo on the 240. I was wondering what you guys think he should do. Here is a list of what the car has.
-CP Forged Pistons (10.5:1 Compression)

-Crower Forged Connecting Rods

-Total Seal Gapless rings

-Professionally ported Cylinder Head

-Injen Cold Air Intake

-Hotshot header

-Greddy Power Extreme Cat-Back Exhaust

-B&M Short Shifter

-SPEC stage3 racing clutch

-Griffin aluminum radiator w/12" electric fan

-Extended wheel studs

-Walbro 190lph in-tank fuel pump

Pointless to waste money on NA, the most you can get out of a built NA KA is something in the range of 170-200 (LOTS of work, & $)

Sell the NA crap mods, and piece together a Turbo project and pickup the book Maximum Boost.

you could probably sell the engine for a decent ammount (not a lot, but more than a basic KA) and swap in an SR or RB. i'm a little interested in it but i can't afford it and would like a turbo myself.

na is nice if you put a lot into suspension and build it up to a nice figure that will at least get you moving and then you can cruise around knowing that you have a low maintenance semi worry free car that will outhandle and out power a lot of cars on the street, (certainly not all of them) but if you want all out power and dont want to spend 900000000 dollars on every little bolt on, go for turbo.

stock formula v8 thunderbird

Small correction:

There is no such thing ! The base model V8 FIREbird was called a formula V8. And Thunderbirds came with optinal V8s,but not a formula one :)
