Well in the process of removing the oil pan in order to have the oil return line welded for the turbo i ran into this problem... the damn nut on the passenger side motor mount is on so tight that is starting to strip... i cant even break it with a breaker bar.... i sprayed hella WD-40 and still no use.... Any ideas?????

look for a thread i made a couple of days ago... titled 'motor mount weekend of hell' or something like that.

since you say its stripped already you should probable cut it off... or try one of those stripped nut removers.

I had the same problem. I cut it off. I was putting new motor mounts in anyway so it didnt realy matter. the only other thing I can think of doing is putting some heat on it loosen it up

use Craftsman NUT OUT sockets... works great just as long as you can get a good leverage...

I finally got my motor mounts off using a motorcycle fork for leverage. stripped to all hell. Use lots of PB blaster.

Oh yah, use a nice size extension and swivel, or wobble sockets. Spray PB daily and tap with ratchet or something. Good luck.

I used Vice Grip BOLT GRIP sockets, they were most key, and have worked on both my car, and my friends.

I had to torch it out to remove the motor from the my red top front clip.
the passenger side is a real bitch to get a lot of torque on it

just find someone who has these craftsmen sockets..it leaves the bolts useless because the sockets have teeth in them and tear into the nuts. But if you can find a junkyard 240, just grab a pair of strut tower nuts...theyre the same ones.

I am going to sears to day to buy a set of those Craftmans Bolt out sets you guys are talking about and give it a go... i think sears has them for $20 for the 5 peice set..... I donta care about the bolt i just want to get the damn thing off so i can jack up the engine to remove the oil pan so i can get this turbo install finish already.

oh man those things worked like a charm... 1 twist and those and the nut was off.... so now if i got it correct i have to undo the tranny mounts and jack everything up at the oint were the engine and the tranny meet right? and that should give me enough clearence to be able to take of the pan... or is there anything i am missing?
