I love it.

First of all, it's quiet. I'd say it has 1/3rd of the sound the Bee*R Type-III (dual exhaust) makes. You barely hear the car at idle and on highway. It's a 80 mm piping too.

Second... It's discreet. No Big can. Painted muffler and piping. It almost looks stock.

Thirdly, no noticeable power losses compared to my Bee*R Type-III exhaust. As a matter of fact, it produces the same power without the noise! :) Great exhaust

Finally, thanks to Phase2Motortrend for QUICK shipment! I would deal with them again and again.

PS: this exhaust is not for you bling people. It's kinda bland looking compared to a dual exhaust. I do miss my Bee*R, but I don't miss the sound it generated.

PPS: My Bee*R Type-III is for sale... ;)

Sweet. Glad to hear such good things about it. Been wanting one for a while but I heard they were back ordered...maybe not. The bling equals bad in my area. Everyone keeps telling me that I get pulled over so often b/c of my exhaust. I'm tired of everything sounding weird after a long drive or wearing ear plugs to take a trip to the beach... :rant2:

checked there website and it says there sold out until there next shippment. Maybe they just haven't updated there page? Anyway I'm either going to go with that or the Border III...leaning towards the RSR b/c of piping size

lol

I did the same thing, I was tired of my loud exhaust . gp sports 3.5" spec III
I sold it already and am installing it on their s13 this wknd.

I got mine from optauto.com because phase2 was pissing me off a while back. I've been waiting for a long time for this exhaust and placed my order months ago.

It was worth the wait!

GP Sports III is exact same thing as Bee*R Type-III

Sure, it's a lovely exhaust, nice note, but damn, it was loud. :)

So how is the sound itself? Not the loudness, but the tone? I'm really considering an EXMAG because I live in an area where a loud and flashy exhause could be a problem.

Man i'd get it just to be diffrent, this would be the sickest sleeper exhaust, and then your bov just put a hose on it going into your intake so u hear no sounds
SLEEPER MUCH? oh god *drooooL*

is it this 1? how many inches is 80MM?

that's an easy choice... you want loud and attention-getting, or quiet and subtle?

HaLo

About 3"?

80mm = 3.15"

Tone in deep, low growl. But nothing too loud. At idle you barely hear this exhaust. I'm runnig a 3" downpipe, 3' resonated test pipe and this exhaust.

projectsilvia

exhaust piping is 80mm, and tip is 4inch... measured it, very clean production process... worth the money, indefinitely, for quiet daily street/sleeper use.

This exhaust or HKS Hi-Power, which is quieter? quiet-er, uh damn, LESS LOUD!

Hell yeah, I wish exhaust makers would get a clue and realize just how many people hate those fucking loud ass grapefruit shooters. Ive been waiting for money to get the RSR ExMag. Gonna run it NA while I build my KA-T Monster :)

Well. I don't regret ANYTHING about this exhaust. :) It's simply great: quiet AND powerfull. :) Best of both worlds

man I love my exhaust. Thanks Phase2motortrend. At first I thought it was loud, but that was because I was comparing it to stock. Mine has quiet down after time and am loving it. One of my friend said that my exhaust is pretty quiet compared to his civic one. And I like to responsiveness it creates at high rpms.

ThatGuy

Very nice, even more "stealth" than I expected. Wouldn't even look twice if I didn't know what it was. I may have a new exhaust. :rawk: Definitely something to think about. Thanks for sharing HaLo. :boink:

How quiet is it compared to something like a regular GT2 with the silencer in?

I don't know, I don't have a GT2 with Silencer to compare with. Check the video and be a judge for yourself. ;)

crazy I didn't know that about the BEE*R
I love everything about the exhaust. The only thing I would change is the cannister. I think the old version was all polished. Its a very stock looking exhaust. The GP was much more bling.

here is me on the track smoking my friends supra
don't mind the guys at the end haha

Love RSR products. I had a NA old skool RSR on my 92 Integra, and it was soo nice and quiet. Then they left the US and I was stricken. But now I can get one for my 240!

ANyone have one with a NA KA??? Just want to know if it's much louder.

it really isn't loud, nice deep growl, but is louder than stock. I don't know how to really explain it, but it sounds nice.

don't do ANY form of street racing. I find it immature and dangerous.

Wow, I like it a lot. Hard to tell from the vid but it sounds much better than my N1 dual. Seems to have a much lower tone. Really love the low key appearance of it all. I think I'm going to make the switch..

anyone think we could go into a group buy with these things? I've wanted one for a while, just like most of you, but I can't really afford one unless its in the low $300-$400 range... yah i know im cheap... but $600 is too much for me. Maybe we can contact R*SR directly for a super deal.

TheTimanator
06-05-2004, 07:21 PM
you should talk to umsports since they like to promote themselves so shamelessly all over this board at any opportunity. (but if you did a groupbuy at those prices I'd take it back :x: ) Anyway, don't be so cheap... haha. You want something high quality you'd better be willing to pay for it

You want a 50% discount?!

Uhm....good luck with that.

Thanks for posting that vid HaLO, I like this exhaust a lot.

this was the exhaust i really wanted but came across a used fujistubo for real cheap, it was messed with somehow and required an extension to be welded and a little bending, but once it was repaired it was awesome. its similiar in style with 3" piping, and black painted muffler and very quiet but deep note to it. i am really happy with it.

Haha Timanator,

It's not that we want to promote ourselves. Its the fact that we have the lowest prices and I would love to see the Zilvia members get a better price! The one guy had it for $539, ours is $499. Just thought I'd tell peope how to save $39.

But, for the guy asking about 50% off MSRP. Theres no way! Like I said, we are a authorized distributor, and I couldn't buy 20K worth of their exhausts and get 50% off. They don't even give that much to their Master Distributors, FYI!

Take care!

hks hiflow or the exmag

I don't know about the hks hiflow, but the exmag pulls pretty good. Before the exhaust the car felt lazy and my favorite gear was third, but now it is fourth because it pulls really good, more responsive, and can almost top out in that same gear. The only problem about the exhaust is that it has a S bend from the end of the straight pipe connected to the muffler, but I don't think it is a big deal at all.

HaLo
06-17-2004, 11:31 PM
I did notice a small response loss with the ExMag compared to my Bee*R... But I had too, the other one was too loud. :(

Shin_Kudo
06-18-2004, 01:43 AM
Well, I'm getting my EX-Mag pretty soon, I'm going to have to. Right now, due to the breaking of my hangers and the destruction of my muffler, I'm using the loudest exhaust of all, none. I just hacked my muffler off with a Sawzall. Not particurlarly low-key, but it sure sounds cool! Especially because it backfires at redline!

I'll be glad to go to the RS*R, thought, as half an hour of driving has given me a splitting headache!
