I disagree. These cars that are built should be at this price range. Clean stock should be around $7 or $8K. I only say this because these cars are becoming alot harder to find in clean unbeatin condition.

Do you know the financial situation of the seller in that case? Maybe he had circumstances where he had to dump it? Just because one sold for $8k does not mean that is the market price for an RB swapped S14. $10-12k is reasonable especially since this is so clean and not a drift slut.

Don't let the low ballers get to you. I had a guy offer me $11k for mine and I could "remove parts" to get it down to that price. I literally laughed out loud in my office. Then, he got pissed when I told him I laughed at him. :mrmeph:

Anyways, had to share that. Back on topic. Good luck with your sale!

not to go off topic but what you are forgetting here is the majority of the interested buyers are going to finance these vehicles. clean stock should only be worth what the value of a reasonable interested loan could be. If it isnt you will have the masses taking losses on vehicles. i agree there need to be compensation for aftermarket items but when you take a car that has a NADA retail value of 6k and price it @ 8k it inflates the market. The car market cant work this way and this is why like the example above the guy got less then asking. with this inflation you will end up seeing a beat to death s13 with a half ass sr20 be listed for $7500.

back on topic. i do like this car and was wondering where in jersey you are located. i would like to possibly come and take a look? im not so familiar with this swap and was wondering what is involved to get a/c running again?

One: if you have to finance such a car you're in the wrong game..

It takes money to build a Rb S chassis, Let me rephrase that It Takes ALOT of Money to do one the Right way.

I have over 30k into my build an its still on Jack Stands, why? Bc its getting done right.

Do i ever plan to get that out of it? Hell no its a 240sx lol but i can part it out an get close to it back..

All these cars selling for 7k, 8k etc im 110% it wasn't done right an you WILL have alot of issues along the way.. Invest in a well done car the first time or done waist your time at all.

NADA, KBB, etc doesn't apply to the racing scene, Hell a Gas saver neither. They list for $1000 but sell for $2500 all day, why? Bc demand :)

Wow, this is dumb. Car values are not dictated by a person's ability to finance the entire amount through a bank. Obviously, an average bank will only give you the NADA value through a standard car loan program. Anything above that, you will have to pay in cash or take out a personal loan from the bank with collateral being provided. Would the price of the car increase for someone who wants to pay cash simply because they can afford to?

we arent in the racing scene here. we are in the street car scene.

and we were discussing a clean stock not a race car. i agree with what you are saying and i too have a car on stands.

i have been looking into getting a car for my wife and she has shown interest in this particular car. this isnt a race car. It is a very nice street car that would be driven almost every single day if this is infact what she picks out.

And dont fool your self, there is many children on this site. Im certain out of the few 100 people that have looked at this AD, many have considered if they could get a loan to satisfy the difference of the cash they have saved up. i would be lieing if i said i havent took a loan out to up my street car game. my 350, the vehicle i am currently building, was purchase with a cash Dp and a 12 month loan.

I agree this game is a loss of money no matter how you look at it.

far from dumb. A clean stock car shouldnt cost much more then what a bank would give you a loan for. I was reffering to what i outlined in bold in my earlier post.

i dont think i mentioned paying more because you can afford to. I guess i can agree with your statement about cars values however it seems like NADA values do control it to an extent. @ the end of the day that is the benchmark for loan programs and insurance programs. A stock cars price should be similar to to matching these 2 items.

You keep referring to a clean, stock car. A clean RB swap is far from stock.
