My oem hotpipe got jacked. So I bought a greddy. One problem I didn't consider, the nipple on it for the hotpipe. Now I've asked a few people if it were possible to tee off a vac line from the FPR, but after I ran that by the guys at HT, they said that's a bad idea. Now I'm stuck here scratching my head as to wtf to do. Called up a local shop called Racetune and the guy there's quoting me 150 for a 5mm nipple welded to that pipe. There's gotta be an easier (and cheaper) solution to this. Any ideas?

Well, first of all, the OEM nipple is on the COLD PIPE, so you didn't have it anyway (FMIC, I assume?)

You should be able to buy a threaded brass nipple from Ace Hardware...drill a hole, tap it, thread that in, and maybe even use some JB Weld to keep it in place. And just do it on the bottom side of the pipe or something so no one can see it. Oh, you can also drill and tap this fitting into the outlet of your turbo if you want REALLY fast response. I personally would put this on the cold side of the intercooler, though, that way you know what boost pressure is actually getting to your intake.
