I am testing waters for interest in my 1980 Volvo. It's was bought in my family new In Brooklyn, NYC. It has less than 120k on the chassis. When I gained ownership back in 2001 it only had 74k on the chassis. The car has never been in an accident. All original glass/panels/trim.

This one has been revamped and gone through completely.
I am listing for trade/sell out right. I am looking for an is300 5spd and that's about it.
This car has competed in various track days and pro-am drift events. Yes Ive qualified into top 16 before with this car.
Here is a abridged list of upgrades starting with the chassis/drivetrain;
Upgraded front lower control arms
Solid link pillow mount suspension arms throughout the rear suspension, adjutable solid link panhard rod too
Custom built for this chassis front coilovers with 6k springs (replacement strut inserts are available if ever needed)
Custom valved rear shocks and 6k rear springs
The car has been aligned and is great on the highway
Reinforced driveshaft support/bushing upgrade
Aftermarket shifter linkage bushings
4 spd with electronic OD manual transmission which is good for 350tq. Stock manual volvo trans are good for 250tq
Custom made for this car 9" 6 puck full kevlar clutch
welded diff, late model larger axles
Upgraded fuel lines from a late(newer) model 89+ (older models have metal lines throughout)
fuel tank from a 93, clean

Onto the engine/fuel input;
The engine is from a 89 volvo 245. It was a tom wood serviced volvo from day one and was a trade in @ my old work.
The engine is a 1989 b230f n/a version 9.8:1 compression (stock 1980 b21 compression is 8.7:1) This year of b230f has forged rods, and the always bulletproof volvo crank. Non interference.
New head bolts/headgasket/timing belt/head service/water pump/plugs/wires/injectors/air mass meter/o2 sensor ALL WITHIN THE LAST 5K.
450cc injectors are fed from a walbro 255 pump (less than 10k on the pump)
Air mass meter upgrade from a 5cyl volvo 960
Wiring harness is from a 89 volvo 245
The ecu's are tuned and originally from a 93 940 Red turbo wagon.
The turbo is a 50 trim t3/t4 (shaft play is the same as it was when new) no smoke, no leaks, spools fast.
38mm ext w/g which is diverted back into the downpipe slight gasket leak there but nothing bad at all
Adjustable Boost controller, made in italy. (current setting is 10psi, track/summer setting is 18psi)
Exhaust manifold is a ported 1st generation turbo manifold (last forever and never crack)
New engine mounts
Third engine mount
Aftermarket transmission mount
Custom front mount intercooler
All T bolt hardware and suspension link hardware came from EARLS of INDY
Oil filter relocation kit from SUMMIT
8 row large front mount oil cooler, also from SUMMIT
ngk plugs (2 heat range sets included)
lh2.4 is the fuel management (good for 30psi of boost from this turbo and up to 800cc injectors)
EZK is the ignition management

This Volvo has been tried and trued. Through experience and tuning everything works great together. The suspension and brakes are dialed. The Alignment is too.
This car pulls on too many expensive new cars to even start listing. A guy in a 2010 camaro SS was astonished among many others, stock c5 vette vert, 1jz cars.
I have over 10k in this thing between track maintenance/modifications/service/upkeep.
Im wanting just over half that back out of it. So please, email me if truly interested. Or text works too

Yes, that is a 3rd engine mount aka ratchet strap.. It has more give than a welded beam to some thin bushings and is very common in the high torque rwd 4cyl volvo world.
