I spent most of my teen and early adult life lusting after this car. I made several failed attempts at acquiring on. This landed me in some weird places and with some unique cars in the process. (owned several R32s, some rando RHD stuffs, and all manner of drift car... The "dream" finally came true last year about this time. Through some connections and a little luck, this car finally materialized. It was in good shape but in need of maintenance and some "re-imagining". I have enjoyed it a lot this year and I had no intention of selling it.. But a random guy started making offers ...I ignored them. He finally made a hard to refuse offer and I did not ignore that. An agreement was made, plane tickets were bought, and then it all fell apart. Family members did not like the idea of $XXXX on a mid 90s 4dr car... Dad decided not to front $... last minute back out... etc. I am fickle. Once I decide to sell something I get it in my head that the item really is not "mine" any more. It happened with several other cars and I have learned that I will never continue a build the same way once I cross over that point... So, it is now for sale here.
The car is a chaser tourer-V. It has 120k kilometers. It is black/green flake OEM color. (((lexus paint code thank goodness))). The year... eh, it has a build date and I will talk to interested parties about it's year. JZX100 means 96-2001ish (2000 really).
No moonroof.
Normal equipment for a chaser all around (windows, locks, tilt,telescoping wheel, aimable lights, swingy vents, AC!!!!, factory HIDS, some other weird comfort stuff)
Cloth interior ofcourse.
The car is in great shape body and interior wise for an "imported car". There is no bondo and 90% of the paint is original. The hood and right front fender have been repainted in it's lifetime (done well) and ofcourse, we painted the kit to match (not nearly as well but nice).
There is no broken trim. All window motors, door actuators, interior lights, gauges, switches, knobs look new and work as they should. All of the rubber moldings and seals look/feel new and do not leak even with the worst abuse from a pressure washer. There are a few scratches here and there in the textured plastic interior bits. The Bride seat has a burn hole (not from a cig) and the passenger mirror GLASS is missing. The seats all show NO wear and my god does that cluster look sexy.
Underneath there are no issues to report. There is certainy no rust, no damage etc. The car tracks straight, drives nicely, and is relatively quiet inside.
No major leaks. It aint blingy new under hood but there is no "seeps" and it can sit out in front of the garage for 2 weeks and not mark it's spot.
The car is STONE RELIABLE! I have driven it from MD to SC then to GA and back to MD. I have driven it to SC and drifted then returned to MD. I have driven it to NJ, drifted two days and driven it home...
This car has been drifted but is not a "drift car". No "battle damage". No zipties, no paint cracks from whatever people do to their drift cars.
Engine is the 1JZGTE VVTI. Trans is R154. Diff is shared with IS300.
The mods are (as best I can remember) as follows:
engine: HPI FMIC
Some rando "ti" exhaust from outlet back
"pod" filter with elbow to keep the MAF happy
Power FC L-jetro (4 months old with new style hand held)
Defi (daisey chain) gauges (boost, temp, Oil press)
Some stiff motor mounts
Maybe forgot a thing or two.
INCLUDES BLITZ V450 K1 bolt on turbo kit!!!!!! (not installed)
Trans/driveline:Trans rebuilt with all the usual Marlin goodies.
Clutch is some ORC thing that is NUTS.
D shaft with "1350" or some mess like that upgraded U joints.
Diff is STOCK IS300 WELDED. It is quieter than the damn 2way!
Suspension: Random TEIN coilovers that work fine but ride terrible in my opinion.
RCA adjusters (25 or 27mm) lets call em an inch...
Typical angle spacers.
JZX110 caster arms with newish bushings (6months)
New inner and outter tie rods (6 months)
Camber/toe correctin rear arms.
((home made subframe collars of some sort.)) eh.. they aint cool.
Lots of little shit I forgot.
Brakes: STOCK and will need rear pads soon. (not today but soon.) ((I have em))
Interior: Mostly stock and NICE AS HELL!!!
350mm sparco deep suede wheel.
Bride rail with old school bride reclinable on the drvr side.
Gauges in dash.
rest is STOOOOOCK.
Exterior: STRAIGHT overall. Paint is nice all around.
Only mods are rolled (ZERO paint damge) rear fenders.
Traum body kit is completely damage and repair free. This is the ONLY one of these kits in north america!!! I have an extra front bumper waiting at my supplier if you blow this one up but take care of the rest of it because it is over $1500 in shipping to get more here after that is gone!
I have the OEM bumper and lip kit ready to re-install if you smash this stuff.
There is an unknown brand roof spoiler on the car.
I have the toyota vent visors if you want em with the car (would like to keep em though).
There is one small dent in the hood (two quarters sized) that did not break the paint but at 2ft it is obvious cause it is on the body line in the hood.
there are a few stone chips and some rain wear in the wheelwells of the kit. I DRIVE IT.
There is only one of these cars for sale in this country right now....ONE.
It is one of two JZX100 chasers in the US period. (there is also ONE jzx100 MKII) If you do not like the price, I am sorry. It is not really an OBO kind of thing.
"legality". I have all Canadian paperwork for the car and just like any R32 etc, there is a way to register it but if you do not have some idea what you are dealing with, I recommend it as "track only".... would be a shame though. I will talk about paper work with SERIOUS interested parties only. DO NOT MESSAGE ME WITH IMPORT QUESTIONS!!!
