Is it the electronics box under the armrest/console immediately to the right of the driver and to the rear of the ashtray? I've heard they were down in the floorboard area, but the only ecu-looking-thing I found was the one previously mentioned.
The reason I want to know is b/c I'm trying to find the speed sensor wire...so any help on which wire would be appreciated as well. I'm pretty sure of what wire to look for, but a confirmation would be nice.
thanks....

After all the big arguements over this you still don't know? It's in the kickpanel of the passenger footwell. The thing your talking about is the seat belt controller, the ecu looks like that but has alot more wires hooked up to it. Just go in to the passenger footwheel and remove all the plastic and you'll see it eventually.

I know...I thought it was down there, but that seatbelt thing confused me I guess . And the fact that it had a "yellow wire with a green stripe" didn't help matters.
On with the stupid (and possibly redundant) questions...So is it to the right or left of the passengers feet?

It's at the right of the passenger foot-well.

You know it isn't gonna do you much good to cut that wire unless you disable the limiter on the tranny too, right? 'Cause 5th gear also has a limiter.
I dono about everyone else but I like to see pics, nothing makes since to me without pictures Jim Wolf Technology (http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/techadvice.html#ecupics) has pictures

I found it and cut the wire...and it seems to have worked. I've only tried a 4th gear run once for lack of a decent road...got pretty scary at that speed w/o smooth asphault. I made it to about 6500rpm in 4th where it used to always shut down at 6300rpm. I'll push it further and try 5th when I get the chance....then I'll let y'all know if it's a complete success or not.
