Alright, so I have been doing alot of research here lately about an rb20det swap in my sohc coupe, and Ive heard you can buy the swap kit to use the stock s13 cross member, but then i hear about the r32 cross member and i havent really heard alot about it and I am currently running a hockey puck on my ka right now. my question is which way is the best way and which one would be better so i dont have to notch the down pipe and mess around with my sway bar,

I am fine with buying a different sway bar but as for the down pipe I am actually going to go with the ebay downpipe for s13 here in this link.

Nissan 240sx s13 s14 S15 RB20 RB20DET RB25 Skyline GTR Stainless Steel Downpipe | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-240sx-S13-S14-S15-RB20-RB20DET-RB25-SKYLINE-GTR-STAINLESS-STEEL-DOWNPIPE-/180976914995?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a23109233&vxp=mtr)

and I really am confused about what mounts to use for what cross member.
please dont flame me as i have actually done the searching, but I am confused on which would be better.

Along with the dohc power steering lines and the rb20 pump and removing the "guts" and using a dohc reservoir. I am thinking about using a chase bays brake booster delete and a power steering later on but again let me know your experience and suggestions that isnt trying to sway me away from an rb20

I run an R32 GTSt crossmember in my S13 with RB20 swap. Fits perfectly. Use the R32 GTSt crossmember, stock RB20 mount brackets and stock RB20 mounts. Use the KA transmission mount. Everything bolts up rather painlessly. For a driveshaft, you can use the stock 2pc shaft out of an S13 fastback (KA24DE WITH ABS as that's the proper length shaft for this swap). As for downpipe, I initially used an HKS one from an SR20 that I modified the flange and lengthened about 4-5", however I believe any R32 GTSt downpipe will bolt right up.

So a coupe driveshaft wont work? but my driveshaft for my coupe looks to be the same as my hatch but its de for the hatch and e for my coupe and im not sure if they are the same length both are non abs they wont work will they?

See if it fits, I didn't know you had a coupe. Once you get the engine and trans mounted, try to fit your stock driveshaft and see if it's the right length. It SHOULD be...

Its only .59 inches difference between non abs and abs, the abs is actually shorter than the non abs I actually dont have the motor yet trying to order evrerything at once before since this is my daily

I used Stock USDM 240 cross member and Mckinney mounts. Stock KA 5speed drive shaft will work in the RB20 transmission. If you use the Mckinney mounts you have the make some room for the starter hump. At least with mine I had too and no clearance issues still had stock sway bars.

One of the reasons Im doing an rb swap is because need a new cross member because one of the lower control arm bolts was ground off from the previous owner and the cross member is starting to rip apart on one side, and is that non abs your talking about Yellow4g63?

The stock Non ABS fits in pretty good when you take the dust shield off the transmission. That is with the Mckinney mounts. I think with the stock skyline cross member it doesn't go all the way in.

Duno I had some tophat mounts before I got the Mckinney's but I don't even think that company is around anymore. Those top hats were flimsy looking vs the Mckinney's.

shifter was a little forward not in the center like stock. The trans mount was a huge pain in the ass to line it up right. I sold them many years ago when I went to the Mckinney's. oil pan was really close to sway bar. <~~~~forgot about that part.
