s14 KA 5 spd issues

so i recently got my ka24de and 5 spd installed into my 95 zenki. I originally put lucas 80w90 in it and i never even moved the car or shifted it because i was waiting on my driveshaft from DSS. I drained it out and refilled with redline mt90.

Here is my problemo... When i first drive it in the morning it grinds going into second, until i drive about 3 miles. 3rd will grind regardless above 6k rpms shifting from 2nd to 3rd. 4th always feels notchy.

As of yesterday i drove the car almost 40 miles at around 60mph so i am guessing my trans was nice and warm and hotter than it had ever been since my swap and at that time all my notchy and grinding went away.

So what i am wondering is why does my transmission have to be driven for so damn long before it shifts properly?? any ideas??

my kouki did this from 1st to 2nd...i had to warm up the car for it to go away...eventually it went away completely I know I need a new throwout bearing I don't know tho if that maybe a cause....but my car shifts fine now im also using MT90

brand new exedy stage 1 clutch kit and brand new flywheel. i just hit 510 miles on my swap (got the exedy before i installed so exedy has 510 miles with new bearing.

changed fluid again with mt90

90 dollars of fluid later and i am still having issues...

i am in the process of getting my sbc 400 ready to go in with the mckinney mount set so i guess i just won't worry about it.
