Hello! I recently purchased and hooked up a consult to usb adapter to my 93 240sx (Ka-24-de) After I got it all up and running I took it for a spin. All of my gauges seemed to be working fine except my o2 sensor. It kept/keeps giving a sporadic reading of Min to Max (I'm not sure of the actual values since i'm not in my vehicle at the moment, i just know that the meter was maxing out at either direction very rapidly.) At first i thought my o2 sensor was bad, but then a friend told me that if it was bad then the meter would be stuck to either on or off. it idles at 8-900 rpm, i smell gas through the exhaust, i don't hear or feel any misfires, it still has great power. I'm not sure where to start. I had the engine overhauled recently and have a short air ram intake, 4-2-1 exhaust header, and beldin blue spark wires. What do i do?!

That is normal, the o2 sensor sweeps like so the ECU can figure out where stoich is. This is to get the best mileage and emissions.

Yep, if your o2 reading was consistent THEN you've got a problem...

It's the reason why we use wide bands for tuning, and not narrow bands!

Ah Thank you! that helps ease my worried mind. The gas mileage is pretty decent (31 highway - 27 city) but i just hate smelling gas every once in a while. Thank you for your help.
