Ok, I got a S14SR (well S15 but just the long block). I have a Blitz Intercooler, brand new Koyo Radiator, Nismo Rad. Cap, and Nismo Thermostat. I also bought a new AutoMeter WaterTemp Gauge.

The work we did, We bought a new water sensor, u driled a screw hole next to the stock water-sensor, we put silcon glue and tighten it up. We wired the Gauge and works great.

Before I bought the Koyo Radiator, after a good 10-20mins of driving the needle goes went to 230. Water was coming out of the res tank.

Today I installed my KoyoRadiator (Thanks DriftFreq) and Nismo Cap and Thermostat. I went the same route to my house and the temp went about 190-200. I let it cool off a bit and saw that my license plate was covering a good portion of my intercooler.

So now I moved it and took off, boom the temp went down to about 150-160. I went on the freeway and it stayed in that range. Once I went back on the street the temp went to around 170-180 (middle). I then stop by my uncle's house and then went back the same route to my house and the temp went back to 180-190, so I shot back on the freeway and it went down to 180 again. Once I reached my house the temp was 190-200. Never once the Res.Tank over flowed with water.

So now that you know what happens, I want to ask what is the avg. range were the needle should be at? And is what happening to my car normal? I have a electric fan on looks like the stock one, but no Fan on the waterpump. Also I got new waterpump. The speed is on mid.High so what you think guys? Thanks for any help.

p.s I searched around but couldn't find a avg. normal range on a temp gauge.

ok if your not running a fan shroud that could be your problem. Especially if its the stock electric fan. If your going to run electric fans you need to either go out and get a pair of altima fans from a yard or get a pair of aftermarkets. that should take car of your getting hot issue.
