New to the Nissan World

hello all my zilvia people. i've wanted to start to expand my import horizon and i came to the nissan 240sx kouki and the nissan 180sx with the silvia front end. I had previously learned a lot about Hondas :wtf: i know what you're thinking :zzz:

So basically I just need some pointers on what not to do to a nissan and what is considered "ricey" in the nissan world. I also need some pointers on which engines are good and bad.. preferably if you could compare them to the honda d, b, h, k and j series motors that would be amazing for my connective learning.

So my thoughts right now on my first build would be

S13 or S14 with the JDM Silvia/Kouki front end
VG30DETT (Daily Driven for Legality)
Full custom 3" exhaust
Full Interior
Nismo Recaros with Nismo Harnesses
Full Interior
Full Stereo
Full Sound Proofing

You want to know if a VG30DETT is a good fit for a 240SX? Go search it. It's been discussed. Nothing has changed in 5 years to change the realities of the swap.

Want to know what the best engine to swap is? Search it. It's a daily shit storm on a half dozen forums that varies greatly based on one's budget and expectation. Some will say a Turbo KA, others an SR, RB, JZ and lastly a built turbo LS1.

Worried about CARB? Go swap a fucking E-rod engine. 430hp, no emissions bullshit, problem solved. What a fantastic plan you should build it and spend all your pennies on it!!
Have you thought about an S13 hatch with the Kouki front end? thats JDM right there.
make sure to change the flux capacitor valve gasket on the VG.
I do enjoy full interior, usually what the car comes with.
If you want a real jdm car everything needs to be megan, godspeed & isis. Also you should get a dvd player in the car and have drift bible always playing.

At the end of your build, it must resemble a white 240 with gold wheels. As long as you dont have the KA you are VERY JDM.

have you even looked into the s14 navan front
way sexier than the kouki and i personally think
the s14 is a steaming pile compared to the s13

whoa whoa whoa. Did I inspire you? Nismo recaros and harness's. You looking at about 5-6k right there for both sides. Also, you would have to find them. Then you would need seat rails to, forgot about that. Also the harness would need something to connect to like a harness bar or roll cage, so add that to.
