Hey guys Im jus prepping my interior for my paint just wondering what do you guys do with all that seam sealer. jus leave it and paint over it clean it up or what? thanks guys

Depends on what your goals are. Just repainting to repaint? Interior going back in? Car a daily fun car or a track car?

I would just leave it. No point of cleaning up seam sealer if its there's no real reason to remove it. Out in the engine bay and body, I would say clean or remove it. There's a paint n body thread on here that people have talked about what they have done, in terms of seam sealer and cleaning up their bay/body ( if you ever get to that point).

Don't remove it unless you plan on seam welding the chassis.

If you haven't made the commitment to removing the sealer for seam welding and/or new sealer, then be careful when prepping the area. Depending on how well the sealer has aged, it might chip off in big pieces if you're too agressive with when prepping. I Had this happen to me when I was using one of those paint stripper/rust stripper wheels - I found that a quick bit of sanding by hand took the paint off of the sealer and surrounding area without completely destroying it.
