I just bought some work Meisters and they need some work so I'm sanding them down an I just got to the lip and there are these black spots... I've tried goo gone rubbing compound and even 220 grit sand paper and they still aren't coming off. Anyone have any idea what these could be?

I'm pretty sure you should have used like 3k grit sandpaper, and that you did more damage than the black spots counted for.

They're probably some sort of corroded aluminium spot. Maybe you should send them out to a wheel guru.

Well I need to re polish the lips, I have sandpaper from 220 to 2000. They already needed to be sanded. I dont have any money now cuz I just bought these and I'd rather do it myself.. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove these spots?

Looks like pitted brake dust. Google how to re finish lips or how to polish them.

Go to a car wash and pay them to spray, and clean them with acid!
Trust!!!!

I think they are "pit" marks from over time, the owner had neglected them for like 6 years (wtf??) they are even near impossible with 180 grit sand paper
