Description:

1988 Nissan Silvia SR20DET Midnight Purple on Black FIRST LEGAL S13 IN U.S.!!

This is a monumental car for the S Chassis community! This is the first legally imported S13 Silvia in the U.S. under the 25 year rule. The car will come with a U.S. Customs release and valid VA title so there is never any question of the cars legality. It was imported 100% legally as all of the cars we sell are.

Enough about that here are the specifics on the car:

The car is in great shape for its age. The exterior has been repainted a nice midnight purple which shines nicely, minor dings but no major damage on the exterior. Nice set of clean brick headlights and aftermarket front grill. Brand new windshield, no chips or cracks! OEM power folding mirrors, and a power sunroof are nice perks. No rust!

The car originally came equipped with a CA18DE which was swapped in Japan to a SR20DET engine and SR20DET 5 speed transmission. The Engine is in great shape starts every time and pulls very nicely. There is a “period correct” Blitz Intercooler, Blitz BOV, Blitz downpipe, and Blitz Catback exhaust added for a little extra power. An aftermarket LSD has also been installed (not positive on the brand). This car has no issues kicking the ass out :)

The Footwork is handled by Tein Flex coilovers which are in great shape and ride fantastic. It also has JIC tension rods up front. Wheels are staggered 18” ADVAN RS’s and are optional. If you don’t like them we can reduce the price a bit and you can bring your own wheels. CUSCO Rear and APEX-i Front Strut Bars.

The black interior is in decent shape, although it does have a typical cracked dash (see pictures) and the radio trim has been trimmed for a double din at one point. The digital speedometer display needs to be replaced, but otherwise the interior is in decent shape. Also has a TOMEI steering wheel, a fairly rare steering wheel these days.

Asking $12,500, will ship anywhere in the U.S. at buyers expense.

Feel free to email me: [email protected] or call 804-677-1419 with any questions.

Thanks man :-)

Thanks for your opinion. The car is priced pretty fair considering the condition and the fact there is no rust, plus this is a real Silvia not a conversion. Not to mention it is completely legal in the US. As I'm sure you can see from the pictures the car isnt beat to death like most S Chassis you see up north.

How much did the car cost and to get it over here and get it legalized?

At first that sounds like a high price, but crap, it is really clean, looks like it's got decent parts, etc..... a few k extra for being a real silvia shouldn't be the end of the world for someone with the cash.

Bump, for wishing money was no object in my life.

This car will never be legal in California. It will go out of its way just to make this car not legal lol

All it needs is is me in the driver side.

I liked your response up until that last part. FWIW, you can get the "same" car landed on the Westcoast for probably about 5k.

That beind said, judging by the responses above i'm obviously in the wrong and it seems to be a fair price. My initial response was obviously ignorant of the fact that you guys have a 25 year import law over our 15 year making them that much more desirable. Either way goodluck with the sale!

I sold my state titled Silvia for 12k which I regret and would take back that desicion on a heartbeat. For a fed legal id say well worth it

I don't think the price is too terribly bad considering almost half that would parts alone if you were build your own, factor in rhd conversion on a 240 + wheels your almost at $12k. However I would expect the dash to be replaced/hud fixed for that kind of money though :2c:

The digital climate control works great, heat works great, AC may need to be recharged as its cool but not ice cold.

Please pm me if you're aware of a Legally imported S13 and the date imported on the customs release and i will be happy to pull the claim. I very seriously doubt it though this car came through customs the first week it was eligible for import. :-)

Month of production is July. It's required for import so I have it :-) Thanks for the offer though.

25yr importing rule sucks, I think 15yrs would be reasonable but sheez most of the highly sought after cars were released in the mid 90s, as of now 88 or older is the eligible year for these cars.

Seems like a real silvia would be better all stock.. Basically looks no different than most drift cars etc etc, tht I've seen... Only differents wld be vins and such. Love the car though! Wish I had 12k lol

When exactly did you see a drift car that looked like THAT?

Clean ass silvia with a perfect exterior, vs ziptied pile of shit with smashed silvia lights duct taped into a knockoff silvia "aero" bumper, with the car six different colors (three of which are on the silvia bits alone) with every panel smashed to shit? Yeah, this looks like a standard run of the mill drift car to me.

Buyer didn't want the wheels, so asking price minus the value of the wheels.
