I figured after working on my car for a year I could post and see what you guys think.
I picked this up last summer from a guy that couldn't get it running. Traded in. A stock single slammer with Silvia front end
Was tored up everywhere with a rb20 swap that never saw the light.

Thanks! It was an rb20 not 26.it was between a stock rb20 or built sr. Rb26 build is on progress atm and will be pulling the sr after its done. Sr pulls hard atm. Installed a new cam, twin scroll manifold and aem water meth kit. Shooting for high 400's.

This showed up at the door for rb26.
Supertech valvetrain and wsp harness for haltech plug in

Nice sounds like the oiling will be under control.

Are the N1 pumps actually decent? Seem to hear mixed opinions on them but I'm not a RB person as I favour JZ's more so wouldn't really know the do and don'ts of these engines tbh lol. Other then that nice build :)

KravingAKouki
01-08-2014, 06:27 PM
The N1 pump is alright, but if you are going for high hp numbers, for the sake of mind, i would grab a tomei pump. Or if you have the money, there is always the dry sump option.

Yellow4g63
01-08-2014, 06:35 PM
It's not really a N1 pump in more with the Billet gears in it.

You think an N1 pump with billet gears is better than a tomei/greddy pump?

Yellow4g63
01-08-2014, 08:10 PM
That's what the Tomei/Greddy pumps have in them, tho not spool gears but upgraded gears.

I knew that, I just have always read that the quality of the Tomei/Greddy pumps is next to none in comparison to the upgraded N1's. Hmm, Thanks for the info

ahhh sorry. I would have to compare it with the nitro pumps. people said those things were way better than the tomie units over on skylines Australia.

Really hope so. 10qts of oil should be enough supply lol. Will be installing this oil drain setup this week.

I dont have a lot of experience on the pumps. Swap came with a new n1 pump and decided to upgrade gears. Id say should be good enough with the crabk collar, balanced crank, ross tuff metal jacket balancer.

why does the oil pan sit so low? Looks like you are using mckinney mounts, so your hood clearance should be fine, but they have the oil pan sit low? Yikes

yeah they are mckinney mounts. This Oil sump extension holds 10 qts and is sitting lower than stock. Dont mind the clearance when having twice the capacity:). Just gotta be carefull with thos pot holes lol

Please post a vid of it running so I can hear what the RawBrokerage manifold and turbo kit sound like! I'm very interested in purchasing their whole setup but I might go with a 6boost single scroll manifold just for the crazy sound it makes.

The ugliest part of the build. Had to cut shifter hole back a bit to fit the z32 tranny. Center console and boot fits fine. Just have to make a cover the excess around the shifter. Once done will clean up and make it look pretty

I'm sure that's him, he has a silver supra now. Flex fuel sensor will work with any standalone(gm sensor). I didnt get to use it or the methanol kit due to reaching my goal on pump. Def will keep it for later on. Maybe when I'm rdy for e85 and 800horses.

That's cool, he looks to be a great tuner, he helped me unscrew tunes I got from so called tuners by youtube videos. I see you plumbed in the flex fuel sensor with an A/N fitting, did you weld on a fitting or it's a special fitting? care to share because down the road I'll be working this into my setup. Thanks! I got a meth kit on mine also but the last tune I got done didn't even tune it in right (tired of wasting money on so called tuners) you seem to make great power on less boost than I am, what's the specs on your cams and any head work?

No complains so far. They are AN fittings from 3/8 to 6an. Make sure u get the second version that are have threads and not clips(horrible stories of cars getting on fire). Cams are tomei type b, stock head and complete super tech valve train
