As far as price, I know someone recently was trying to get over 10 grand for a stock block 2jz swap. Not to talk down on anyone's swap but mines not exactly stock looking either and its ready to drop in and all the parts were new a few months ago. I need a good serious offer. PLEASE do not waste my time, the whole car is for sale but for now id like to try to sell just the swap and keep the shell around for a swap later on down the road. Not looking for any trades right now.

Oh wow. lol i doubt someone here is going to have 15k for just a motor even though theres alot done to your motor, you would have a better chance parting the entire motor out. but blws nontheless

I've had good luck on this site selling things. If you factor in how much a shop would charge to do a stock 2jz swap with maybe a single turbo conversion only its going to be around 10k. Most people don't have the funds or understand because they'd rather swap in a $4k sr swap and have the motor and trans blow up a million times before they ever think about upgrading. But then again its a whole different game for the people willing to do things right the first time and not pay for all the hours of labor someone else put in.

Have you considered parting out your setup? The way I see it anyone who has $15k to spend would probably just spend $25-30k on an mkiv that's already making 800+ and you know how cheap and hard to deal with the 240 crowd is so parting it could make the most buck. GLWS

I have to sell the long block before I sell the trans..

BTW I just lowered my price a lot. Have something else in the works but I'm no longer taking any offers. This is bottom dollar pricing. I'm already losing too much money. I just found something I want to buy but I'm not willing to take anymore of a loss than what I already am taking at this price though.

You're comparing a bare short block to a complete s chassis 2jz swap? I'm selling my long block for 5k if you're comparing apples to apples. No way near the same thing

Most people don't have the funds or understand because they'd rather swap in a $4k sr swap and have the motor and trans blow up a million times before they ever think about upgrading. But then again its a whole different game for the people willing to do things right the first time and not pay for all the hours of labor someone else put in.
