Well, in case some of you you guys dont know, i've been looking for a bride brix for who knows how long. And considering the fact that the brix "1" (if you will) is discontinued, i've pretty much come to the conclusion that im not going to get one. Soooooo i've been looking into their new seats, the brix 2 and the ergo 2, and in doing so, i came across this on the ebizzle
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33701&item=2478695122&rd=1
Now, i already emailed the seller about the seat's authenticity, but i wanted to get you guys/gilrs input on it. Honestly, I think its a scam. Go on ebaymotors and type in brix in the search. You'll see a a bunch of the obvious fake crap but you'll also get several like the link i just put up. I dunno, I mean for a seat that retails for over a grand, thats just waaaaaay too cheap. But then again, who knows...

I'd guess it's a scam based on all the other crappy no-name parts that they carry. Selling a bunch of brand-x intakes and altezza tails and then selling Brides just doesn't make any sense to me...
I'd only buy it if they could provide actual pictures of the seat and they don't mind if you come to their "shop" to pay for it and take it home.

i don't think 450 is the price. it doesn't say buy now i think that is the starting bid. i could be wrong but thats what i think.

He says he has a real Bride seat, so he probably has a real bride seat, I would bid on it and then pick up the seat personally the guy is in l.a., dont get it shipped, drive up there give him cash in exchange for the seat, and if he has a problem with that, then it is probably fake.

Thanks, but i dont really want a fixed position bucket, but if i did i would go for the zeta III.
Anyway, i'm actually thinking of just driving up there to see the seats so atleast i can tell you guys whats up them, so that way if they are fake, nobody will ever get ripped off.

Retail is $1050 per seat
Direct from the manufacturer in a limited edition alcantara (Available in Asia/Japan only)
Brackets and sliders are not included
...sounds legit to me.

I think it is legit too. They just forgot or did even put "reserve price" on so if it does goes up to a certain price, they just end the auction. Ebay tricks.

first of all if ppl are tryin 2 scam ebay would be the last place 2 do it... 2nd thats the price of the starting bid...so who knows how high it went up
if he has a number just give him a call and tell him how you saw the auction and ask him what his distributor is. if he doesnt say it's Tee's then i doubt its legit unless he bought a bunch of seats from another company which i doubt will happen

XOXO Racing.. I know that shop! If time allows, I will go down and check out what they got. How do I tell if it's a real Bride or what?

Like I said on Nadine's board, I think it is certainly fake because: despite what this dude says, i have never heard of any Brides being made in Alcantra. Never. And besides that, there were other fake copies of the BrixII made by some taiwanese company IN ALCANTRA. And they sell for the same price. I say we ask Tees whether these guys ever made an order with them, or even simpler, if they have ever seen a Brix II in alcantra. I mena for ebay purposes... if it says BRIDE on it, most people WILL think its real.

Also, i don't want to be a big ass and post this in the for sale thread, but Rare Trick is selling Bride Pros. Haha i have to laugh because in the Bride ads, they label the Brix as "Street Bucket", the Zeta's as "Race Bucket", the Maxis as "Full Race", and (drumroll please)... the Pros as "Dress Up". Hahaha I'm sorry its just really funny. And i can't believe that people (SHOPS none the less) are selling them as some sort of real bucket.

well jay, the guy is in el monte which it says is in LA email him and ask if you can pick them up cuz your local, if they are fakes, you will be able to tell, then jus dont pay the guy and walk away. if he leaves negative feedback, jus tell every1 you didnt pay cuz the seats were misrepresented as authentic brides when they are not.

Yea keep us posted, I was very tempted to buy some. It just seems like a high price if they are knockoffs.

If you look closely, it seems like the "Bride" in the picture has been photoshopped in...
Or maybe I'm wrong and its legit hehe

that right there tells me they're fake. i mean, why not let you pick them up. Its less of hassle for him to have to set up shipping and you're willing to pick up. That just doesnt add up.
I emailed him about going up to check out the seats myself and first he said fine, then like 20 minutes later he emailed me again saying he no longer has the seats in his showroom, yet when i looked on ebay he has like 7 or 8 different brix 2 auctions going and some of them are for a pair of seats. Sounds real fishy to me. I think they're fake.

i notice that person have a few of them starting a 495. how can he list 2 or 3 for sale at that price if it's the real deal? if pick up is not avialabe, then he's full of crap. i don't care how busy you are. pick up is always more easier then packing it up to ship unless he know shipping is cheaper but want to ship only so he can get more money.

hey guys just wanted to update you all on Brix II going around on ebay. i won an auction for one of these supposed Brix II and from what i've experienced the sellers are being super shady. they won't let me see them before i pay for them and will only ship them to me. i live locally to the shop so i don't know why they won't let me see them but we can all guess why. also, on another forum a representative from Tees corp stated that Bride never made seats in alcantara fabric so if you see those they are for sure fake. so i guess i'm not going to pay for them since it was false advertising and hopefully no one else gets scammed.

I contacted one of the sellers (http://www.theperformancelab.com) about the seats he was selling. This is what he told me.
These are purchased directly from the manufacturer. It is back doored and not purchased from Bride japan, that is why it is cheaper. The knobs the tag, all say bride. They were defects that bride japan refused, and the manufacturer fixed everything that needed to be fixed, and even reapolstered it. They were never used either. Everything is new and in perfect working order.
He also has what I assume to be the legitimate version of the Brix II on his site. I don't know about the other sellers, but this guy sent some high rez pictures. The seats look pretty good. I don't know how "real" they are, but at least he was honest in telling me that they are not 100% authentic. PM me with your e-mail if you want me to send you the pictures. They are large so hotmail won't cut it.

Because I don't care enough to find free web hosting for pictures, uploading them and then post them. It some one else wants to do it great, I'll e-mail the pics.
