I wanted SSR Professor SP-1's sooooo bad and was about to buy a set of 18x8 et29mm and 18x9 et 38mm for 2300...until I heard that they are not hub centric and that bend when you hit a pothole...any comments on this? your input is appreciated. thanks!

OH AWESOME! It's a dream come true. The SSR site isn't showing the sizes right now but I'm interested in a set of SBC SP1s in 17x8 +25 and 17x9 +35. I'm not sure if they are available in those exact offsets but you get it, anything within 2mm of that is good. how much am I looking at?

you are correct... these as well as about 99% of all wheels on the aftermarket are not hub centric. they are basically like a standard bore. and in order to get the right hub size. we give you hub rings for this auction for all 4 wheels as well as muteki lug nuts.

Gonna get a set of ssr sp1's for my s13 (4 lug)...I noticed that to get the deeper lips you gotta go with the Super Low disks.
For example Black sp1's:
16x8.0J +32 NR (disk) 52mm (lip) $900.9 (pair $retail)
16x9.0J +32 NR 64mm $947.1
16x9.0J +32 SL 77mm $947.1

Trying to figure out which one would look better....
Whats the difference between the SL and NR disk?
I think it means that the spokes on the rims for the SL's are more pushed out, to clear big brakes. Is this right? or is it the oppsite way?
I had 5 zigen typoons and i never like the way the face stuck out.


Oh and i have Apex N1 pro's i hear that they clear rims better than other coilovers. Also i don't wanna pull my fenders cause my car has a thick coat of paint on it. (factory, was painted silver and now dark mica grey) But got some RUCA's.
Are these the right offsets and widths?
probably going with 215's in front and 225's for the rears....50 series

Just some info from someone who has the Super Black Coat professors....

They don't look black at all...they look chrome in almost all light and from almost every angle.

Also, I wouldn't worry about clearing the Z brakes...the spoke design is great for clearing big calipers. Do worry if you have Brembos. They won't clear w/ 17" Professors due to the 3 piece construction.

And, I'm considering selling them to get some bronze wheels instead since I have a Mediterranean Blue S14. Will sell for the right price. 17" x 8" up front with a twenty something offset and 17" x 9" out back with a thirty something offset.

i odnt know if you are still doing this group buy or not. but could you give me a quote on:

yeah this buy is no longer going on... we can get work wheels instead...

get this.. i never even knew this but freaking they have a 2 year warranty.. and i think that kicks ass...

cause i actually for the first time saw a set of hre wheels on a ferrari split in half where they welded it and hre wouldnt do anything...
but yeah if you want some work wheels we will do that instead..
