I bought the isis true 3' turbo outlet/ or exhaust elbow, just wanted to know, it bring a 5 bolt gasket for the turbo to exhaust elbow. I think i herd that people say there exhaust gasket blow within like a week of use. Just wanted to know if it was true or if i can use the gasket safely ans spend money elsewere in my build. Thanks guys!

If its one of those perforated metal gaskets with graphite in the middle, you can bet it wont last long. Now im sure MANY people have had plenty of luck with them, but i personally havent. They dont seal well and if your running a cat or anything that will restrict exhaust flow, theres a good chance it will leak. Now you shouldnt "blow out" an o2 housing gasket unless something is seriously plugged up or loose.

honestly, you should have gotten a trusted brand. I purchased my Megan Racing o2 housing from TheNismoShop.com for $115 and its 100% genuine and came with some NICE gaskets. It uses almost identicle gaskets that the Nissan uses.

This is the gasket i would buy. Its identical to the one i got with my Megan Racing part and it seals perfectly.
Nissan Factory JDM 5 Bolt Turbo / Turbine Outlet Gasket 14445-26E00 - Nissan SR20DET T25 (http://www.thenismoshop.com/Nissan-Factory-JDM-5-Bolt-Turbo-Turbine-Outlet-Gasket-14445-26E00--Nissan-SR20DET-T25-_p_1605.html)

I steer clear of products that use these kind of gaskets. If they use cheap gaskets i cant imagine how cheap the part is.

I would get the OE multi layer gasket, do it once, do it right. There are 2 different part numbers for T25 and T28.

^^LMAO^^

As long as it's a metal gasket, it should be fine if properly torqued.

In this location, a paper/grafoil gasket will blow quickly due to the amount of heat the turbine puts out... which is why even the OEM 5-bolt outlet gasket is metal.

On that note, OEM is the best possible bet.

As for any other gasket in the exhaust system (besides 4-bolt turbine manifold flange), the regular grafoil gaskets are fine so long as the exhaust system is properly hung & secured.

Weird that there are different PN's for the T25/T28 5-bolt gaskets... IIRC, that flange is a standard size. I run the OEM gasket from OEM S13 blacktop rebuild kit with a Tomei M8270- works nicely. Not calling BS, just saying that it's unsurprisingly weird.

There is a slight difference in the location of one of the studs on the t25 vs the t28, you will notice on all aftermarket dump tubes one hole is slightly enlarged/oval'd to accommodate both turbines
